Know Your Score Helps in the Fight Against Prostate Cancer

Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday welcomes you to the fight against prostate cancer. The most common non-skin cancer in America, prostate cancer afflicts 1 in 6 men, the majority of that total over the age of 40. As the world?s most popular golf destination, that demographic is Myrtle Beach?s core audience and we want to make a difference. As a result, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday teamed up with Zero: The Project to End Prostate Cancer to launch the Know Your Score: Fight Prostate Cancer campaign.

Know Your Score is a multifaceted effort with a goal of raising $250,000 to battle prostate cancer while increasing education and testing throughout the nation. Emmy Award Winning essayist and commentatior for Turner Sports, Jim Huber, is the national spokesman for Know Your Score in 2010, and he will host its highest profile event, the annual celebrity golf tournament and gala on August 28. The golf tournament is expected to attract some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, including Ken Griffey, musician Branford Marsalis and some of Jim Huber's pals.
