2011 Summer Resort Activities

Vacation Myrtle Beach has 8 resorts over the length of the Grand Strand that will be offering onsite activities for vacationing couples and families to enjoy all summer long. All 8 resorts have so many options to choose from, the hardest part of your vacation will be trying to fit it all in!

At Beach Colony Resort, Children's activities are being offered Monday through Friday. The fun will begin every morning at 9:30 and includes activities such as water aerobics, arts & crafts, pool games, beach games, and visits from Sharkee - Ripley's Aquarium mascot!

Beach Cove Resort is offering great opportunities to relax to the sounds of live music from a variety of different artists including Jody Hunter, Tropical Jammers, and DJ Jeff Finkley. Along with the live entertainment, everyone will have a chance to join in on activities Monday - Friday including pool games, shark tooth searches, arts & crafts, water aerobics,tie-dye shirts, beach games, and a visit from Ripley's Aquarium's mascot - Sharkee!

The Caravelle Resort is proud to be the host of Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula show on Monday nights which will take you on a journey to the islands of Hawaii and the South Pacific. His performance combining Fire, Hula, and a Knife dance is sure to please! Along with Cheif Kamu, The Caravelle will offer daily activities for everyone including magic shows, poolside music, beach and pool games, arts & crafts, and visits from Sharkee - Ripley's Aquarium mascot!

Captain's Quarters Resort is offering up more this summer than ever! With over 5 bands playing live music throughout the course of the Summer, there will never be a dull moment at CQ! Also making many visits will be Captain Sneaky and his parrot Tiki, Sharkee from Ripley's Aquarium, Greg Holt the Magician, and Captain Quarter's own Salty the Shark! Chief Kamu will be performing his Fire and Hula show every Saturday night. This is something you definitely won't want to miss out on! Activities for children will be available Monday through Friday including pool and beach games, arts & crafts, shark tooth searches, "Dive-in" movies, and much more!

Landmark Resort will be host to Cheif Kamu's Fire and Hula show on a variety of Sunday nights throughout the summer, along with shows from Greg Holt the Magician, visits from Captain Sneaky and his parrot Tiki, "Dive-in" movies on Tuesdays in the waterpark, and visits from Salty and Sharkee plus more of their famous friends! On Monday through Fridays you can enjoy family friendly activities all day long including sand castle competitions, arts & crafts, pool games, Beach soccer & kickball, and much more! Pool parties will be happening all summer long at Landmark. With live entertainment from the Hawaiian Breeze Band Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Tropical Jammerz steel drum band will be here on Tuesday's and a DJ will be on the pool deck on Thursday's!

At the Sea Watch Resort, Children's activities are being offered Monday through Friday. The fun will include activities such as water aerobics, arts & crafts, pool games, beach games, and visits from Sharkee - Ripley's Aquarium mascot! And don't forget to head down to the pool on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for out of this world pool parties with music from DJ Splashdown!

Ocean Creek Resort is offering up some great activities this summer including their own Ripley's Aquarium Experience which will involve an interactive demonstration by Ripley's marine team who will base their demonstration around what they find in the creek each day. One week it may be a blue crab, the next week a sea turtle. This one of a kind, family friendly activity will show just how interesting life is here at Ocean Creek. The resort will also be offering an array of activities Monday through Friday including arts & crafts, pool and beach games, hula hoop competitions, and even a "Kids Night Out" on Thursdays from 5:30-8:30! DJ Durivage will also be around to spin some records on Saturdays while the Tropical Jammers will play the steel drums for visitors on Sundays!

Hotel Blue will be the hottest place to be this summer with "Therapy" pool parties happening at least three times a week with live music around the only swim-up pool bar in South Carolina! Over 5 different bands are scheduled to play from now until October so you are sure to stay entertained. Along with the pool parties will be visits from Captain Sneaky and his parrot Tiki, mascots Sharkee & Salty, and all Hotel Blue guests are invited every Saturday to join the Chief Kamu's Fire and Hula show at the sister property captain's Quarters! The Children's program will take place Monday through Friday with activities ranging from pool games, arts & crafts, seashell searches, beach walks, and flag football! Hotel Blue is gauranteed to provide guests of all ages with an array of fun all summer long!
