From brewery tours to local tap houses, Myrtle Beach offers plenty for beer experts and enthusiasts alike! Check out our roundup of the top spots for beer lovers at the beach:

Tour New South Brewery

Did you know that Myrtle Beach is home to one of the best microbrews in the southeast? Well, you do now! New South Brewery is located close to the bustling downtown portion of Myrtle Beach and offers several tours and tastings throughout the week. New south brews several varieties year round, like their popular White Ale and the Nut Brown Ale, in addition to several seasonal brews, like the Oktoberfest. Guests are invited to stop by for a tour of the facilities on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3pm or stop by any Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 4:30pm – 7pm to try tastings on-site and stock up on beer gear and even your favorite six pack. Try a Few House Brews Gordon Biersch Myrtle Beach

There’s nothing quite like enjoying the creative concoction of a homebrew and there are several restaurants in Myrtle Beach that offer up their own signature creations. If you are around Broadway at the Beach, be sure to check out Liberty Steakhouse. This brewery and grill serves up a variety of tasty house creations and offers a tempting menu to match. Sip on favorites like the Liberty Lager, Honest I.P.Abe, or the Broadway Brown Ale. Liberty also has a sister restaurant located near 82nd Avenue North, Liberty Tap Room. Gordon Biersch, located in the Market Common complex, is another local restaurant that offers up signature brews. Though the original brewery is based out of California, the Myrtle Beach location serves up tasty concoctions that are brewed on-site, like the Golden Export and the Hefeweizen. Both restaurants are a great options for those looking to grab good eats and cool, refreshing adult treats.

Enjoy Variety at Beer Hot Spots

In the mood to just kick back in a casual atmosphere and try a wide variety of brews? Well, Myrtle Beach has several spots where you can do just that, you just have to know where to look! Those looking for something quirky will want to check out Atlas Tap House, a recent addition to the bustling beer scene. Atlas is located near the downtown Myrtle Beach area in a quaint old house and offers 25 seasonal beers on tap in addition to over 100 bottle and can choices. They also offer a spacious outdoor deck area with cornhole, giant jenga, and a view of downtown. If you are seeking more of a sports atmosphere, stop by Bumsteads Pub, located right off Mr. Joe White Avenue. This sports pub offers more than 100 worldly selections, plenty of TVs for catching your favorite game, and a delectable tavern menu.
