Best Places to Relax in Myrtle Beach

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Relaxing is what most people want to do on their vacation but it can be hard for some people to get out of their frantic everyday mode. But we’re pretty confident that if you visit these places on your next Myrtle Beach vacation it will be hard for you not to slow your stroll just a little bit.

2nd Avenue Pier- Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, 2nd Avenue Pier is one of the best places to take in the sights and sounds of the beach. You can enjoy an oceanfront meal with a view on the Open-Air Bar’s wraparound porch complete with cozy seating or at the Pier House Restaurant. You can also stroll down the pier or try your hand at the relaxing pastime of fishing. No matter what you decide to do it’ll be hard to do it in a hurry surrounded by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The Hammock Shops- This low key shopping area is located south of Myrtle Beach and offers quaint shops and restaurants located beneath majestic oak trees with plenty of hammocks, benches and rockers for you to relax on and take in the sights and sounds.

Brookgreen Gardens- This garden and sculpture park is made for strolling. With hundreds of plants and sculptures to view and enjoy set on the historic grounds of old rice plantations, complete with oak trees that have seen centuries pass. Brookgreen also has regular concerts and other events in the evening seasonally, which make for a different relaxing atmosphere complete with crickets and twinkling lights.

These are just a few of the relaxing places you can visit in Myrtle Beach though of course the biggest one, the beach, is also a sure-fire way to get in some relaxation time. Also, if you happen to be staying at The Caravelle, the 7th Floor Sundeck is easily one of the most relaxing spots in all of Myrtle Beach, complete with coushioned sun chairs and an amazing view of the ocean.

No matter where you go in Myrtle Beach you can find relaxation so long as that's what you're looking for.
