Crown Reef Waterpark is Open for Year Round Fun!

As part of a $7.5 million renovation, Crown Reef Resort opened a $2 million, four-story tall waterpark in early July.

Located oceanfront, it is the largest oceanfront waterpark in Myrtle Beach that is open year-round. That’s right, this waterpark will be open even in the cooler winter months because it will be enclosed for guest enjoyment!

Sitting at 38 feet tall, the EXPLOSION tube slide can carry one or two riders on a tube, swooshing them down at top speeds through its 278-foot long course as more than 2,500 gallons of water flow through per minute.

Also 38 feet tall, the second giant waterslide choice is the TWISTER body slide where guests slide down 302 feet, sans tube, for true water fun as 800 gallons of water make their way down the slide every minute!

Featuring twists, turns and flumes, these slides provide a rush of adrenaline and fun!

For the little ones, there is a third slide called KIDZ Twister that sits 8 feet tall and stretches 20 feet long, making it a great choice for kids who aren’t tall enough for the larger slides.

More fun takes place near the kiddie slide as well, as that is where guests will find the water-fun area! Featuring a silly sub, giant tree house, dump buckets and more, this area is fun for guests who aren’t afraid to get wet and who want to have fun!

This year-round amenity is sure to be one of the top hotel water features on the Grand Strand. Completely free to guests, it joins the other existing oceanfront water features at this south-end resort including the longest oceanfront lazy river in Myrtle Beach, an Island Pool, indoor pool and hot tub, kiddie pools and a large outdoor pool, which is partially covered for those who enjoy the shade.
