Dockside Village: The Brand New Waterfront Boardwalk at Barefoot Landing!

Beverage at Lucy Buffet's LuLu's 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of a famous Myrtle Beach landmark, Barefoot Landing. This waterfront outdoor venue is situated along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway and is home to a wide variety of family-friendly restaurants, shops, and attractions. The venue also hosts several fun family events throughout the year and has served as an entertainment ‘go to’ for locals and visitors alike for the past three decades.

To celebrate the venue’s history and to embrace the growth and expansion of the Grand Strand, Barefoot Landing is currently undergoing massive renovations to better serve area visitors. The expansion will welcome several new vendors the venue, as well as offer exciting new spaces for existing shops and restaurants.

A few of the new additions include Savannah Bee Company, Blueberry’s Grill, Kentucky Mist Distillery, Southern Edge Knifeworks, and Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s - to name just a few.

The highly-anticipated transformation will also include the build-out of a brand-new waterfront boardwalk area, “Dockside Village”. Reminiscent of other bustling waterfront venues along the Grand Strand, like the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the new Dockside Village will offer an exciting new spot for scenic dining, live entertainment, events, and more.

Lucy Buffett's LuLu's is the first of many new additions to this action-packed new boardwalk. Owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister, LuLu’s is an exciting new concept that features bright, bold colors, fast, friendly service, and a tasty beach-themed menu. Fan favorites include LuLu’s signature she crab soup, the “Pa-Meena” cheeseburger, and the made-from-scratch key lime pie. Visitors can enjoy water views from the expansive outdoor seating area or take a break and cool off inside the equally spacious indoor dining area. As a true destination, LuLu’s also features a large sandy beach seating area, a state-of-the-art arcade, a ropes climbing course, and live entertainment space. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, LuLu’s is a great new spot to kick back and relax for fun and food with friends and family.

The Dockside Village project will come to life over the next few years. Don’t let the renovations scare you away - Barefoot Landing is very much open and has plenty of fun in store for the summer.
