FAQ: Are All Myrtle Beach Hotels on the Ocean?

By Julia Diem

Beach Cove Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC, is an all-oceanfront resort.Being that Myrtle Beach is on the ocean, one may think that most of the hotels are on the ocean as well. However, this is not necessarily the case and if you want to stay oceanfront, you should be sure that the resort you choose is located on the ocean and not behind another hotel.

You can rest assured, because all Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts are oceanfront!

While each resort has a variety of units, for example, they may have some units that are non-oceanfront or ocean view, each has a large variety of oceanfront units for your choosing. Plus, if you choose to stay in a non-oceanfront unit, but the resort itself is oceanfront, you are still able to enjoy easy beach access and often oceanfront water features as well.

If you are looking for an oceanfront hotel in the area that has ALL oceanfront units, then there are three that have exactly what you are looking for:

Beach Cove Resort, located in North Myrtle Beach not far from Barefoot Landing, has only oceanfront units ranging from one bedroom up to three. Plus, their condos overlook their beautiful pool deck with the ocean as the backdrop. The views can’t get much better than that!

Crown Reef Resort, located on the south-end of Myrtle Beach near Market Common also has all oceanfront units that directly face the ocean. Ranging from basic rooms up to one-bedroom suites, this resort has new updates in each room including mattresses, bedding, wall paint and furniture as well as granite-countertops in the kitchens of the efficiencies and suites.

South Wind on the Ocean, located in central Myrtle Beach is a great choice for those looking for a more up-scale experience. With all oceanfront condos ranging from one bedroom all the way up to five, this resort can accommodate almost any size group. The largest unit, Oceanfront Five Bedroom Condo, can sleep up to 14 people and has four bathrooms, making it the perfect unit for a large family or group.

If an oceanfront unit is not as important to you (generally ocean view, side view and non-oceanfront condos and rooms are less expensive than oceanfront), but staying at an oceanfront property is important, check out these resorts that offer a combination of unit types:
