Myrtle Beach Golf on a Budget

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Whether you’re coming to Myrtle Beach specifically for a week long golf vacation with the guys or your enjoying some family time while also wanting to play a few rounds, there are numerous ways for golfers to save money.

Myrtle Beach is known as the epicenter of the golf world and for good reason.  However, as the economy has dwindled, golf courses around the area have done more to increase value by offering golfers more when they book tee times or golf packages.  That increase in value has led to more competition, which has decreased prices.

Below are a few tips for those looking to book a golf vacation in Myrtle Beach on a budget.

Book Through a Golf Package

For those who are internet savvy, there are plenty of golf packages available on our website that you can book through.  They’ll show you the price every step of the way, the cost of the room, and give you a nice overview of everything that is included in that particular golf package.  It’s a great way to save money on each round while having everything booked together through one company.

Play Less Expensive Courses

There are some beautiful courses along the Grand Strand but often they come with a hefty price tag.  Despite that, there are plenty of beautiful courses with fun tracks that you can play usually at half the price of some of the more well-known courses.  The West Course at Myrtle Beach National is a favorite that plays at less than $70 a round in the off-season.  You may even be able to find rates as low as $39 or $49 a round in the summertime.

Book a Basic Hotel Room

Part of the glitz and glamour of coming to Myrtle Beach is the scenic views you can have from your hotel balcony.  However, oceanfront units cost more per night than most standard hotel rooms.  Staying in a basic hotel room at St. John’s Inn or an interior room at Landmark Resort not only gives you access to a lot of amenities but your nightly total probably won’t exceed the $50 mark during the primary golfing season.
