Myrtle Beach Itinerary: Traveling with Kids

If you are traveling to Myrtle Beach with kids, you will want to plan ahead to make the most out of your vacation and make sure you fit in all of the attractions and activities that your family is most looking forward to. We’ve compiled an example schedule of what your family can do if you are traveling to Myrtle Beach with children for your vacation.

Sunday (Arrival):

  • Late afternoon: Start your vacation by checking-in to your resort in Myrtle Beach, unpack, get the kids settled, hang out by the pool and check out the beach
  • Dinner: Dinner at the resort
  • Evening: Relax on balcony then go to bed

Monday (Myrtle Beach Attraction: Broadway at the Beach):
Let the fun begin!

Tuesday (North Myrtle Beach Attraction: Barefoot Landing):

  • Breakfast: Bagels and peanut butter at your resort
  • Late Morning: Go swimming at the resort’s pool then head over to Barefoot Landing and feed the fish
  • Lunch: Fire Island Grille
  • Early Afternoon: Stroll around Barefoot Landing and do some shopping
  • Late Afternoon: Find your way through the Mirror Maze then ride on the Barefoot Carousel
  • Dinner: Dinner cruise on the Barefoot Princess Riverboat
  • Evening: Catch a show at the Alabama Theater then head back to the resort

Wednesday (Myrtle Beach Attraction: Boardwalk):

  • Breakfast: Head to the beach for a breakfast picnic with grapes, watermelon, orange juice and granola bars and spend the morning on the beach
  • Late Morning: Head down to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for the day and stroll along the boardwalk
  • Lunch: Peaches Corner
  • Early Afternoon: Hop on the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel for amazing views then go over to the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum
  • Late Afternoon: Fly through the air at the Myrtle Beach Zipline Adventures, then head to the 2nd Avenue Pier and watch for dolphins
  • Dinner: Pier House Restaurant
  • Evening:  Catch a show at the Palace Theater then return to the resort

Thursday (Various Attractions: Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk and Zoo):

  • Breakfast: At the resort
  • Morning: Waccatee Zoo
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch at the zoo
  • Mid-Afternoon: Leave the zoo and head south to the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk
  • Late Afternoon: Check out the gator at Lazy Gator then eat ice cream on one of their rocking chairs
  • Late Afternoon: Stroll down the Marsh Walk and watch the fishermen
  • Dinner: Creek Ratz
  • Evening: Head back to resort and swim in the pool

Friday (Fun Day):

  • Early Morning: Family beach photo session with Timeless Memories
  • Breakfast: Croissants Bistro and Bakery
  • Morning: Head over to Wild, Water and Wheels for the day
  • Lunch: At the concessions stand
  • Afternoon: Continue your day at Wild, Water and Wheels
  • Dinner: California Dreaming in Surfside Beach
  • Early Evening: Stroll along the beach and look for sea shells
  • Evening: Return to the resort

Saturday (check-out):

  • Breakfast: Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for breakfast
  • Morning: Pack up the car
  • Late Morning: Check out of your resort in Myrtle Beach and hit the road
