By Julia Diem

Friendliest Resort on the BeachMyrtle Beach, South Carolina is the top beach destination on the east coast offering more than 200 resorts and hotels for the more than 14 million visitors that come to the area each year.  The Vacation Myrtle Beach resort group, comprised of 14 oceanfront resorts, has found a new way to stand out among the crowded landscape at the beach by building a stronger relationship with their guests.

Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts, by Legacy Business Solutions, are launching the “Friendliest Place on the Beach” initiative that includes ongoing training with all employees, guest surveys and contests. Implementing this new program for the already successful resort group with 50 years of experience in the hotel industry in Myrtle Beach was a natural step for the group, which has a long history of great guest service and care.

“We know that by providing friendly guest service to our guests that we can make a huge difference in their stay with us,” said Matt Klugman, Vacation Myrtle Beach marketing director. “From the front desk staff to the housekeepers and food and beverage staff, everyone will have the tools they need to treat our guests like family.”

Training and development for the program at these family-friendly resorts will include daily departmental meetings featuring various categories of focus including how impress even the smallest guests – children.

“Our staff has already developed many great friendships with families who come back year after year, allowing for a great foundation to build our program upon.” said Klugman.

Beyond the ongoing training, a social media contest will be introduced, encouraging guests to share their positive experiences with #HappyGuest included in their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram post.

“We are excited to kick off this initiative as we know that it will become ingrained in the culture of our company from the ground up,” said Klugman. “We want our guests to know just how much we care.”
