Myrtle Beach: A Destination Wedding Location

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Crown Reef Resort Wedding

Destination weddings are becoming quite popular these days. Soon-to-be newlyweds choose a place to have their wedding outside of their hometown.

This is popular because it provides the bride and groom with a tropical backdrop to their special day as well as a mini-vacation for their guests and wedding party.

Having you ever thought of having your destination beach wedding in Myrtle Beach? Myrtle Beach is often more affordable than other distant destination locations such as Florida or the Bahamas. Plus, if you live on the East Coast or Midwest, chances are it’s an easy drive or short flight for your guests.

While looking for a location for a beach wedding may sound daunting, there are a few things to keep in mind that will make this process more fun and allow you to express yourself through your special day:

Ceremony: When picking a place for your ceremony, be sure that you know what all of the rules are for the beach you are on. Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach both have different Sea Watch Resort Beach Weddingguidelines for public beach ceremonies.
Accommodations: It’s often best to stay at an oceanfront resort such as Beach Cove Resort, The Caravelle Resort or Sea Watch Resort for your wedding so that guests don’t have to travel from their accommodations to get to the ceremony location. This saves a lot of hassle for the bridal party and your guests who attend your destination wedding.

Reception: If you are planning to have a reception following your destination beach wedding, it’s best to stay at a Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach resort that has ample banquet facilities for your reception such as Sea Watch Resort, The Caravelle Resort, Landmark Resort, Crown Reef Resort or Ocean Creek Resort. Each resort’s group sale departments have ample experience in planning receptions. Whether you want a beach-themed reception or a more elegant affair, the group sales department will be able to make your day special.
