Restaurant Review: Angelo’s Steak and Pasta

Nestled on the south end of Myrtle Beach on King’s Highway at 24th avenue south, Angelo’s Steak and Pasta is often considered one of the best places in Myrtle Beach to eat a steak.  That notion is also magnified by the restaurant’s tagline as the home of "the greatest steaks in the universe!”  Angelo's recently joined our VMB card program and invited me out to do an honest review of their restaurant.

Angelo’s is more than your typical steakhouse.  The menu is infused with American steaks and traditional Italian dishes that will please even the pickiest palette.  Some of the traditional Italian dishes offered include Spaghetti, Homemade Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Marsala, and Veal Parmigiana.

Of course, if you can’t settle on just one item off the menu, the restaurant runs an early bird special every day from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. where you can try out numerous Italian dishes off their buffet for just $10.95 per person excluding your drink.

The meal begins with salad and fresh baked garlic rolls delivered to your table prior to ordering.  The Italian salad is deliciously infused with Italian dressing, lettuce, onions, olives, tomatoes, and cheese.  The rolls we received were tasty but hard.  That was the only negative to the entire meal.

For this review, I ordered the 10 oz. Ribeye cooked to medium with a warm pink center.  The steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.  Angelo’s ages their beef before serving and the quality of steak you receive is second to none in Myrtle Beach.  For those looking for a bigger piece of meat on their plate, they do serve Ribeyes up to 24 ounces.

For those that order an entrée, you receive the choice of a side, which could include spaghetti with meat sauce, baked potato, or garlic mashed potatoes.  I chose the garlic mashed potatoes and they too were delectable.

If you’re looking to add a 3rd course to what is already a feast, Angelo’s has plenty of savory dessert options including Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Tiramisu, Oreo Cookie Bash, Rum Cake, and Key Lime Pie.

Overall, Angelo’s is a terrific dining option for those looking to find the best steak in Myrtle Beach or if you just want an affordable Italian restaurant where you can pig out on some delicious Italian offerings served buffet style.  Make sure to dine at Angelo’s during your next Myrtle Beach vacation and save $10 off a 2nd entree purchased after 8 p.m just by showing your VMB Card!
