Spotlight: Kayaking in Myrtle Beach with J & L Kayak Ecoventures

By Samantha Norton

Coming to Myrtle Beach is a yearly adventure for many, and every year couples and families make their first journey to Myrtle Beach. Whether it is your 10th year or your first year, we know you are looking for fun and exciting activities to do while you vacation. The best part about being on vacation is soaking up the sun and relaxing, and the best activities are able to combine those in a more active way than just lying on the beach.

Kayaking is a great activity to get you and your family moving! Getting a little exercise while you are on vacation is a great way to balance out those deliciously indulgent meals, and it is even better when it doesn’t feel like regular boring exercise. Kayaking is somewhat like canoeing, but it can be done completely solo or with a partner. A kayak is pointed at both ends with a smallish space for your waist and your legs go out in front of you. Your paddle is double sided and you then leisurely push yourself through the water towards your intended destination, giving you a great arm, core and back workout.

Myrtle Beach has a slew of options for various kayaking excursions and outings, so we are going to spotlight our favorite, J & L Kayak Ecoventures.

J & L Kayak Ecoventures is located in Little River, SC and is open for tours all year round. They run three different tour start locations with ten different tour options to suit all moods and mind frames. The sights and wildlife you are sure to see on your kayaking journeys are priceless.
