Unique Myrtle Beach Restaurants

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

The Myrtle Beach area is full of a variety of restaurants. There are a few that have something unique and interesting about them that may just sway you to choose them over another local establishment during your next Myrtle Beach vacation.

Check out these unique aspects that we found at some area Myrtle Beach restaurants:

Dick's Last Resort, Myrtle BeachDick’s Last Resort: Dick’s Last Resort is a unique restaurant where you get made fun of while you eat and you will probably leave wearing a giant paper hat with something scribbled on it by the staff. It’s all in good fun, though, and you’ll be sure to get some laughs out of it. Located at Barefoot Landing, this restaurant has been on the Grand Strand for more than 20 years. Stated as being “The Shame O’ Barefoot Landing,” on their website, this restaurant is one for the books.

Hot Fish Club Restaurant & Gazebo Bar: A popular Murrells Inlet hot spot, Hot Fish Club has a unique history. It has been around for about 200 years and may have even been the first restaurant in Murrells Inlet. Rumor has it that its original location (different from where it is now) was on Drunken Jack’s Island until the Civil War era. The island is said to have been the resting place of Jack, a pirate who was left there with only some bottles of rum and a hiding place for Blackbeard’s treasures, although neither have been proved.

Rodeo Bar and Grill: A Broadway at the Beach restaurant and club, Rodeo Bar and Grill is best to be saved for a night out without the kids. What makes this restaurant unique is that they have a bull that you can ride inside. How long can you stay on without falling off?

Carlos ‘n Charlie’s: Another popular Broadway at the Beach bar and restaurant, Carlos ‘n Charlie’s hosts unique events throughout the year including Latin Night and Salsa Night. Guests who dine with their family at the restaurant during the day may catch a server singing, doing comedy or jumping on a chair. You never know what will happen at Carlos ‘n Charlie’s!

Creek Ratz: A Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk restaurant, Creek Ratz offers boaters with a unique option – they can dock their boat right in front of the restaurant on the inlet! Just liking parking spots for cars, Creek Ratz has docking space just for its customers.

Fire Island and Grille: This Barefoot Landing restaurant has a unique drink on their cocktail menu – Island Volcano Sacrifice. Continuing with the theme of islands and tropics, Fire Island and Grille serves up this large 48-ounce Bacardi Rum punch drink which includes a fiery shot of Bacardi 151!

Flying Fish Public Market & Grill: Have you ever eaten at a restaurant and wished you could somehow take a piece of them home with you? Well, at Flying Fish Public Market & Grill you can do just that. After dining in their restaurant you can purchase fish from their in-house market.
