Vacation Myrtle Beach Property Improvements and Upgrades

Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts utilize the off-season, which typically runs from November until early March, to make improvements and upgrades to their properties and rooms so they are ready for the spring and summer guests.

Below are some of the improvements that have taken place at VMB resorts over the past few months:

Renovated pool deck at Palace Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC.Palace Resort: The Palace Resort completely resurfaced their large oceanfront pool deck with a beautiful new pattern, completed work refurbishing their lobby fountain, worked on their Castle meeting room, and refurbished their stairwells.

Captain’s Quarters Resort: This resort worked on freshening up their paint around the property over the off-season. From repainting their Shipwreck Lagoon Kids’ Waterpark to repainting doors and hallways, the resort now has a fresh look.

Carolina Winds Resort: Carolina Winds re-tiled their main floor hallway, resealed their outdoor pool deck, resurfaced one of their parking lots and installed a new roof on their Phase II building. Additionally, they waterproofed the north side of their Phase I building, upgraded the television cable and many individual owner room updates were completed throughout the off-season.

hotel BLUE: This south-end resort has upgraded their lobby over the off-season. Formerly just a check-in desk, the lobby has now been expanded to include a modern bar called Proximity and a deck called 8 South. Additionally, Café BLUE, which proudly serves Starbucks, has been updated and moved to the lobby as well. They have also painted hallways, rooms and doors and are in the process of putting in new mattresses in every room.

Palms Resort: Palms Resort homeowners have been constantly working on updating their individual units, making them comfortable and fresh for guests.

Renovated room at Crown Reef Resort.Crown Reef Resort: Crown Reef has been undergoing major upgrades over the off-season including updating every single room as they are getting new paint, mattresses, bedding, kitchens, furniture and more. Additionally, hallway and deck carpeting is being updated and the new Town Center is set to open soon featuring Loco Gecko, a coffee bar, candy and ice cream shop and arcade. A new Waterpark with two large slides and a children’s slide will be complete late spring.

Beach Colony Resort: Beach Colony Resort’s homeowners have worked to update many of their individual units throughout the season. For example, some homeowners have upgraded their kitchens while others have updated their décor. Additionally, the condos have gone through a deep clean. The outdoor lazy river went through a refurbishment and touch ups have been done throughout the property. The lobby was also repainted and the outdoor bar was spruced up.

Caravelle Resort: Throughout the off-season The Caravelle Resort resurfaced their outdoor lazy river, the Wild Water Pool deck and the 7th floor indoor spa. New drains were installed on the pool deck, new carpet was installed on the 1st and 7th floors and pressure washing and painting occurred inside the parking garages. Additionally the fitness room walls were retextured and painted and the hallways at St. Clements were renovated. As a part of increasing energy efficiency at the property select areas of the main building grounds were transitioned to LED lighting. Currently the property is working on other various updates including planting spring and summer flowers and plants.
