What’s Nearby: Beach Colony

One of the questions asked by first-time visitors taking a Myrtle Beach vacation at one of the 14 Vacation Myrtle Beach hotels is “What is there to do close by?”

Well, when you check in at any of the Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts you will be given a Myrtle Beach Discounts Card, which entitles you to discounts at many of the shops, restaurants and other attractions in and around Myrtle Beach. You will also be given an up-to-date list of the many different partners that honor the card. This card is only available to guests staying at Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts.

So, to help you take advantage of the benefits of that card, here are a few of the partners that are located near Beach Colony.

Just a couple of miles away from Beach Colony is Broadway on the Beach, a collection of retail outlets, restaurants and other attractions, several of which are VMB partners. These include Ripley’s Aquarium, Wonder Works, MagiQuest, Dragons Lair miniature golf course, Carlos’n Charlies,  Hard Rock Café, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, all of which will give you a discount. The Liberty Steakhouse & Brewery at Broadway will knock $5 off a tab of $25 or more. The NASCAR Speedpark is in the same locality, and has a few different discount opportunities for those carrying the VMB Myrtle Beach discounts card.

Broadway at the Beach also has regular fireworks shows during the summer. Every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. the skys will be lit up with a fireworks display...and it's free to watch!

Not far from Beach Colony is the delicious restaurant Croissants, serving up breakfasts, lunches and dinners made from fresh, local ingredients. And along 29th Ave. N there are a number of restaurants including New York Prime, where you’ll be offered a free appetizer with the purchase of entrees, and Rioz Brazillian Steakhouse, which gives you a free dessert per party of four.
