What’s New This Year in Myrtle Beach: 2015 Edition

Every year new restaurants, attractions and shows are added to Myrtle Beach’s enclave of offerings for visitors. This year is no exception as many new exciting places are opening their doors. Check out our roundup of what’s new to Myrtle Beach this year:


Dinosaurs: The Exhibit: A new Broadway at the Beach exhibit, Dinosaurs will open on March 16 near Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. The 8,000-foot exhibit will feature the $1 million attraction filled with 25 animatronic dinosaurs and play area for children. Tickets will be $14.95 for adults and $9.95 for children. It will remain open through the summer so be sure to check it out!


New Flights: The Myrtle Beach International Airport offers an array of flights both year-round and seasonal for Myrtle Beach vacationers. In the fall Spirit Airlines announced a new seasonal flight to Myrtle Beach from Cleveland. In February Allegiant Air announced they will be adding new summer flights for Myrtle Beach including Lexington and Fort Wayne. View the whole list here.


Tupelo Honey Cafe, a new restuarant in Myrtle Beach at Market CommonTupelo Honey Café: Opening in late February at The Market Common, this much-anticipated restaurant offers an array of home-style Southern dishes. With only a handful of locations, they provide brunch, lunch, dinner and a kids menu in a unique setting at the former Tommy Bahama Restaurant location. Delicious menu items include Pecan Crusted Goat Cheese, Fried Green Tomatoes, Grilled Frenched Lamb Chops, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Biscuits and so much more.  Also known for their extensive beer menu, Tupelo has both bottled and draft beers from local sources and from around the world. The restaurant will be open regular hours beginning March 8 when they will open at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.


Carnival of Magic: Often offering new shows each year, Palace Theatre at Broadway at the Beach is introducing Carnival of Magic to its 2015 lineup. Filled with illusions, fantastic costumes, special effects and so much more, this family-friendly show will feature an array of talented performers. It will run from March 31 – August 29, 2015 so be sure to catch this Myrtle Beach show during your vacation!


Duplin Winery: Coming soon to North Myrtle Beach by Barefoot Landing, Duplin Winery will be opening a tasting shop this spring. Learn more about their wine-making process and enjoy some delicious samples. Once open they will operate six days a week, Monday through Saturday.


Go Ape: An addition to the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex, Go Ape is a Zipline and Treetop Adventure course. Featuring five Ziplines and the treetop adventure course, which is comprised of rope ladders, swings, crossings and more, you can bring the family here for an afternoon of adventure. This six-acre attraction boasts more than 2,000 feet of Zipline, a beautiful lake and so much more.
