2. Attend St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

Saturday, March 14, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Make plans to attend the Annual North Myrtle Beach Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. The parade starts at 9 a.m., when thousands of parade-goers line Main Street early in the morning to see over 100 floats and golf carts decorated with leprechauns, shamrocks, rainbows, and a pot of gold. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live entertainment, contests, delicious food, and arts and crafts. Face painting, games, and rides are available for the kids in the children’s area. While you’re on Main Street, be sure to stop by Flynn’s Irish Tavern for homemade corned beef and cabbage or bangers and mash. Make sure to save room for dessert at Melt, which serves delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream and so much more. Check out some of the unique shops along Main Street like Hope Taylor and Company and The Gallery on Main.

3. Browse a Car Show Event 

Thursday, March 19 – Saturday, March 21, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Save the date for the 37th Annual Run to The Sun Car and Truck Show! Browse some of the most unique cars South Carolina has to offer, held March 19th-21st at the former Myrtle Square Mall site. This is a pay-to-attend event, and there will be over 3,000 cars on display! Registration and tickets are available via their website. There will also be celebrity appearances by Catherine Bach, Ghostbusters ECTO-1, and Southern Belle Ghostbusters.

4. Walk around Outdoor Shopping Centers

While most folks who come here come for the beach, the area also offers a wide range of outdoor shopping centers that incorporate entertainment and dining as well. Come shop for a wide selection of everything from clothes to housewares, to souvenirs, and more. The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and Tanger Outlet malls are some of Myrtle Beach’s best shopping districts to get your shopping on between breaks from the beach.

 5. Attend Beach BBQ Festival

Saturday, March 7, 2026 |10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

What time is it?! BBQ time….BBQ is the spice of life! Surfside Beach wants to invite you and all your family and friends for a day of fun, good eating, and hanging out! The festival will be located at Surfside Drive and Yaupon Parking Lot in Surfside Beach. It will feature a BBQ competition, festival food favorites, arts and crafts vendors, shopping, entertainment, kid activities, and more with live music from Nor’Eastah MB from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Too Much Sylvia from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

6. Take A Tuesday Trolley Tour

Tuesdays from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Discover Myrtle Beach’s unique local pop culture history by hopping on a 2-hour trolley tour in The Market Common. You’ll meet in front of the Grand 14 Theater, located at 4002 Deville Street at The Market Common to begin boarding at 9:45 a.m. The trolley is enclosed and climate-controlled. On the tour you will hear about Myrtle Beach’s coming of age in the mid-20th century to the present day, the movies that were made or premiered here, and the role music played in its history. Stops along the way include Charlie’s Place Historic Site whose motel was listed in The Green Book. Upon the tour’s return, feel free to check out the nearby cafes, stores, and restaurants in The Market Common.

7. Fun Activities and Games

8. Participate in the Annual Kite Festival 

Saturday, March 21 – Sunday, March 22, 2026 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Let’s welcome spring by soaring art high into the canvas sky! Hundreds of colorful kites of all shapes and sizes, from triangles and diamonds to animals such as birds, turtles, jellyfish, butterflies, dragons, and octopi will be on display. Come join in on the fun by bringing your own kite or buying one at the 5th Annual Kite Festival on March 21–22! This two-day event will be located at Huntington Beach State Park, 16148 Ocean Hwy, Murrells Inlet. Enjoy viewing professional kite flyers, food trucks, bouncy inflatables, and a petting zoo. The event will feature kite demonstrations by Klig’s Kites, who will have kites available for purchase.

9. Explore a Museum
