MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME)

Landmark Resort is looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians.  We are looking to hire a full-time and part-time individual for the PM shift (3pm - 11pm or 4pm - 12am) at the resort.  We are looking for energetic, positive people.  You may submit your resume for consideration or apply in person at Landmark Resort, located at 1501 S. QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Read, write and understand English.
  •  Experience of 2-5 years preferred in commercial or institutional maintenance environment.

  •  Certification in pool operation preferred.

  •  SAFETY AND SECURITY: Be alert to hazards and responsible in carrying out resort’s safety, security, and emergency procedures; suggest ways to improve safety conditions that reduce or prevent accidents and injuries; participate on safety committee or other special projects for safety; actively seek and report potential security risks or hazardous conditions.
  •  MAINTENANCE: Perform general repairs and assigned maintenance duties in a satisfactory and timely manner; respond to complaints or problems from guests or other departments in a timely manner; keep tools and maintenance   equipment clean and secure; complete preventive maintenance duties on schedule.
  •  FSLA: Follow new overtime policy and procedures. Clock in/out daily for schedule and lunch. No overtime will be permitted without the prior consent of the GM or AGM. Must complete the weekly labor progress report and ensures   employees adhere to it.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  •  Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
  •  Communicate parts and materials needs to supervisor in a timely manner.
  •  Inform supervisor on job and project status.
  •  Keep adequate parts, materials and supplies on supply cart.
  •  Maintain and repair all equipment in laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, convention areas and
  • public space. Repair refrigeration, plumbing and electrical fixtures in guestrooms, kitchen or laundry
  • to manufacturer’s specifications.
  •  Maintain work areas clean and organized.
  •  Monitor life safety systems and respond to alerts as necessary.
  • Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces, change burned out
  • light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in guest rooms, tower, convention area, public areas and as
  • assigned, preventive maintenance.
  •  Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  •  Clean and treat all food and beverage floor drains with enzymes weekly.
  •  Complete other duties assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
  •  Maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems.
  •  Maintain electrical carts.
  •  Repair irrigation or sprinkler systems.
  •  Attend all mandatory meetings.
  •  Fill key list orders.
  •  Remove and install water heaters.

CATERING SALES MANAGER

Landmark Resort is looking for a Catering Sales Manager to join our family.  This is a Full-Time / Year Round position in the hospitality industry.  We offer a generous salary (based on experience) and a full benefits package. Must have experience.

Obtaining New Clients

The catering sales manager is responsible for finding new clients to hold catered events. The job often involves attending industry and networking events, telemarketing, advertising and contacting the competitions client base. Once the catering sales manager discovers a prospective client, they conduct tours of the facility, menu tastings and meetings with the client.

Maintaining Existing Clients

It is important to maintain relationships with past clients for future business. Many catering offices have a database program in which client information is stored. It is the responsibility of the catering sales manager to use this database to keep in touch with past clients through phone calls, emails, letters and personal meetings.

Proposals and Contracts

The catering sales manager drafts proposals, creates sample menus and presents them to the client. Once the client is satisfied with all aspects of the proposal, the catering sales manager prepares the contract for the client to sign. Most employers will provide a template for these documents.

Communication

The catering sales manager assumes responsibility for set-up and execution of events. Communication with the client as well as the catering team (director of catering, banquet captain, food service staff) is imperative to a successful event. They are responsible for communicating all requests from the client to the right people at the right time.

Event Attendance

Many clients require that the catering sales manager be in attendance at the event that they helped plan. Greeting the event planner at the beginning of the event is part of the job. At this time, the banquet captain, servers and any other key staff members will meet the client. The catering sales manager will remain in attendance to ensure the event goes as planned.

Billing

The catering sales manager ensures that the bill presented to the client at the end of the event is correct. Although the accounting department handles the actual collecting of money, it is the catering sales manager’s responsibility to ensure the bill reflects the costs stated in the contract. She is the liaison between the client and the billing department.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS


CUSTOMER SERVICE: Maintain customer satisfaction as the driving philosophy of all departments. Personally demonstrate a commitment to customer service by inquiring about service quality and responding promptly to guest needs. Promptly handle guest complaints. Fill in for staff when necessary to ensure staff and guests satisfaction. Ensure your staff, including all new hires, is trained to meet standards. Empower staff to deliver customer service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance. Level of service provided to guests in all outlets meets or exceeds guest’s expectations. Ensure that consistency of service and standards are met. Assist in leading a large team with coaching, positivity and healthy critique.

FINANCIAL: Assist in managing the departments within budget. Accurately forecast revenues/expenses. Prepare annual departmental budget that accurately reflects the department’s operations plan. Anticipate revenue/cost problems and report discrepancies to General Manager. Assist resorts staff with accounting related issues. Assist in analyzing financial and operating information on an ongoing basis in order to adjust labor, supplies, materials and other costs to achieve budget. Ensure department staff is trained in control procedures as outlined by Internal Audit, and that these procedures are consistently followed.

PEOPLE: Manage people according to the VMB by Legacy values. Manage human resources functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance reviews, and pay and recognition programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management. Emphasize training and development as a way of doing business in order to empower employees to successfully perform their jobs. Help to develop management talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports. Resolve employee grievances fairly and timely. Ensure employees fully understand performance standards, review process, and reward successes. Manage safety program to protect guests and employees and which meets OSHA requirements. Use ongoing safety plan to minimize workers’ compensation claims. Train staff to increase level of customer sales, service and safety skills on an ongoing basis. Ensure employees are appropriately certified for their job as required by federal, state or local regulations.

QUALITY: Know the general operation of departments and how all resorts departments work together to achieve business objectives and to meet customer expectations. Know the commonly occurring challenges of the Rooms, sales, housekeeping and F&B business and how to overcome them. Know rooms and F&B standards and hold employees accountable for consistency in meeting these standards. Assist in maintaining favorable health department scores. Manage a preventive maintenance program for all equipment. Assist in control food-borne illnesses. Meet safety and sanitation standards such as Emergency Plan, CPR/Heimlich training for all employees, proper storage of foods, storing chemicals away from food, etc.

MANAGING THE BUSINESS: Assist in prepare the Rooms & F&B and assist in total resorts budget and maximize department resources to contribute to the successful achievement of the budget. Identify major revenue and expense opportunities and possible problems. Identify and select vendors that provide quality service and competitive prices and monitor to ensure quality of goods and service is met. Adjust inventory, department labor schedules, staff assignment and supplies based upon demand without loss in quality service. Keep repair costs down by maintaining equipment. Work with local vendors to keep costs down.

Job Summary
We are looking for an outstanding leader to handle the important role of Human Resources Manager in the hospitality industry and embrace the family culture we have established. We believe that Human Resources is vital to the growth and development of our people.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for staffing qualified personnel; ensuring employment statute compliance; overseeing all aspects of wage, benefit, worker’s compensation and unemployment; training program direction, implementation and administration; and employee relations coaching, counseling and discipline. This position will cover 2 of our properties: Landmark Resort and Palace Resort.

Qualification Standards


Education & Experience:

At least 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a resort or a related industry
Previous supervisory responsibility required.
College course work in related field helpful
Familiarity with and knowledge of employment laws


Duties and Functions
 

Essential:
