Vacation Myrtle Beach works to raise money and items for various causes throughout the year. It is important to us to raise awareness and funds for charities that are in turn able to help so many people who are in need.
Vacation Myrtle Beach has raised over $406,561 since 2011
The following are some of our larger fundraising efforts:
Special Operations Wounded Warriors (S.O.W.W.)
Total Raised: $144,237
* Includes contributions from The Caravelle Cup Golf Tournament.
* The Caravelle Cup also raised $16,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,
and $1,000 for the Joe McGarry Foundation.
Toys For Tots
Toys for Tots is an organization that gathers toys for less-fortunate children so they too may have presents to open on Christmas morning. VMB resorts felt that it was important to help provide these children with happiness during the holidays.
December 2012: $2,450 and five trucks of toys were collected by VMB resorts over two seasons.
December 2013 - 2018: VMB Resorts collected toys for area families.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - American Cancer Society
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer supports research, support and awareness. VMB resorts saw this as an opportunity to get involved with this organization that helps so many men and women fight breast cancer - something that has touched the lives of so many of us.
Guests could donate monetary funds, and each resort did fundraisers throughout this time; staff members also wore pink on certain days.

Relay For Life - American Cancer Society
We were so excited to participate in Relay For Life 2019!
Our live auction, staff fundraising efforts at each of our 14 resorts, and walk raised $12,964!
March of Dimes
March of Dimes helps prevent premature births and strives towards the goal of all babies being born healthy. VMB resorts felt this was a cause well-worth fundraising for as it has personally affected some of the VMB family.
Guests could donate at check-in, over the phone and online; resorts also held fundraisers and we all walked in the March for Babies.

Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies provides necessary items to low-income students by providing a backpack full of items for children to take home over the weekend. VMB resorts knows how important it is to fight childhood hunger and poverty.
Collected school supplies, non-perishable snacks and drinks, books and hygiene items to go into backpacks for Horry County children. Hosted a Family Fun Day to aid in their support of flood relief to the area.

Christmas Dinner Donation
Winter 2013:VMB donated 100 Christmas dinners to families at Myrtle Beach Primary and Elementary Schools.
New Jersey Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association Fundraiser for Autism Outreach
Fall 2013
VMB assisted with the New Jersey Firemen’s Mutual Benevolent Association efforts to raise money for Eden Autism Services for autism outreach initiatives.
Over $30,000 was presented by the NJ FMBA.
Thanksgiving Dinner Donation
Fall 2013
VMB donated 40 Thanksgiving dinners to families of Seaside Elementary School.
Livi Center
Summer 2012
The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is raising funds to provide a place for better care of people with mitochondrial disease. VMB resorts made a great effort to make this closer to a reality by raising funds and educating all of our guests about the need for the facility.
Guest were able to donate through the online booking process as well as when they arrived at each resort.

Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort
Fall 2012
We joined together with National Golf Management and other businesses in the Myrtle Beach area to collect supplies and donations for those affected by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey. The need of those affected was clear and we were amazed at the outpouring of support for those who lost so much in this awful disaster.
We collected clothes, cleaning supplies, food, water, monetary donations, gift cards, and more for the victims.
$2,000 was raised in addition to in-kind donations and the use of a moving truck.
Caring in our Lifetime
October 2011
Caring In Our Lifetime provides assistance to those fighting breast cancer. Both hotel BLUE and Captain's Quarters Resort joined together with their employees and guests to help make an impact on the lives of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
hotel BLUE turned their regular blue lights to pink and both Captain's Quarters and hotel BLUE resorts raised money from guest donations.
$2,000 was raised by the two resorts.
Additional support includes drives for the Lowcountry Food Bank, holiday meal donations, Salvation Army Angel Tree, volunteer efforts and more!
