By Megan Burke

Are you a Myrtle Beach newbie? If so, get excited! As one of the most family friendly destinations along the east coast, Myrtle Beach keeps millions of guests flocking back year over year. And, after one visit, it’s not hard to see why! Get to know our charming seaside city and start planning your family vacation in Myrtle Beach today:

What Time of Year Should I Visit?

As one might expect, the summer season is the most popular season to visit Myrtle Beach. June, July, and August are the warmest and the busiest months of the year. However, this doesn’t mean that you need to limit your vacation horizons to the summer. The weather perks up around April and the beach weather sticks around until mid-October, giving you plenty of time to enjoy our sandy shores. Spring and fall offer amicable temperatures and plenty of family friendly festivals while the winter offers a scenic retreat from the cold northern snowstorms. Many guests will spend several months at the beach during the winter to escape the snow which is why we call these guests “snowbirds”. So really, you can visit Myrtle Beach during any time of the year and find plenty of fun.
