Best Accommodations for Golfers

Oceanfront efficiencies and suites are great for family vacations when relaxing on the beach is the ultimate motive.  However, those rooms are often the most expensive offered by each resort.  For golfers, staying in a crisp, clean, and simple room for less money is much more attractive than the expensive oceanfront views.

Whether you want to try out a new place to stay for your next Myrtle Beach golf trip or are planning your first ever trip to the beach, here are some perfect accommodations for the avid golfer.

St. John’s Inn – 2 Queen Efficiency

For less than half the price you can get an oceanfront room, you can get a non-oceanfront room at the St. Johns Inn located right next to The Caravelle.  All units are individually owned and there are quite a few yearlong residents who live in the units, which give St. Johns Inn a much more peaceful vibe.  A beautiful pool deck is a great place to relax after a round and the pool does reach depths of 12 feet so it’s great for avid swimmers as well.  With laundry on site there are plenty of reasons to give St. Johns Inn a try on your next golf vacation

St. Clement’s – 1 Bedroom Suite

Some golfers do enjoy having a nice view when they come to the beach and that makes St. Clement’s a great addition to this list.  Their one bedroom suites are perfect for a two or three person group at a very low cost, especially in the off-season.  Each suite comes with a king bed, a sleeper sofa, and one full sized bed.  With access to The Caravelle resort next door, St. Clement’s has all the amenities you’ll need during your stay.

Ocean Creek Resort – Lodge Villas

Ocean Creek is a 57 acre property with everything from two oceanfront towers to garden homes to lodge villas.  The lodge villas are perfect for accommodating golfers due to their non-oceanfront pricing.  With studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom options available, golfers could easily bunk together and split the cost, saving everyone money in the long run.  Each lodge villa also has a pool deck along with access to the recently redesigned oceanfront Beach Club pool. 

Landmark Resort – Interior Guest Room

The Landmark is a well known resort near the heart of Myrtle Beach but its unique “U-shaped” design does offer up some very affordable rates on their non-oceanfront interior rooms.  Offering two double beds, these rooms are perfect for a group of two or four who wants to keep room costs low during their golf outing in Myrtle Beach. 

Sea Watch Resort – 2 Bedroom Oceanview Condo

Located near numerous golf courses near the North Myrtle Beach county line, Sea Watch Resort is a perfect place for golfers to stay during their trip to Myrtle Beach.  The room itself features three beds total including two queen sized beds and one full sized bed.  Also included in the room is a sleeper sofa, fitting four or more golfers comfortably.  Why this particular room makes the list is because the two bedroom unit does come with two separate bathrooms and since its oceanview, it’s cheaper than the two bedroom oceanfront room that Sea Watch offers.
