Family Fun Day Fundraiser Set To Raise Funds For Flood Victims

Help4Kids to host a community fundraiser event at Crown Reef Resort on November 10

Help4Kids’ Family Fun Day Fundraiser For Flood Relief is scheduled for November 10, 2018 and the public is invited to attend this local benefit sponsored by the Vacation Myrtle Beach resort group.

Help4Kids, a local non-profit organization, saw a greater need arise after the local flooding caused by Hurricane Florence. It only made sense to step up to help the community during a time like this, said Bridget Brancato of Help4Kids.

“For almost 30 years our organization has been helping children in need throughout Horry County. We were heartbroken to see what these already hard-pressed families have had to go through because of the flooding. For some of them it took nearly everything they had,” she said. “Our passion has driven us together as a community to bring some much-needed necessities to these families as they work to get their lives back together.”

The fundraiser will feature many community members and groups donating their time and services to make the day fun-filled for all ages.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark in Myrtle Beach, the Family Fun Day will feature cotton candy, snowcones, a petting zoo, bounce house, bounce slide, face painting, glitter tattoos, character appearances including Captain Sneaky and Tiki Bird, mermaids and Salty the Shark. Attendees will also be able to enjoy a family-friendly DJ, magician, balloonist, carnival games, food stations and so much more. 

Entry to the event is $3 per person or $10 per family with food tickets available for $1 each or one donated non-perishable food item each. An additional $10 per person donation will include admission to the indoor waterpark for the day as well as a $5 game card.

Additional donations being collected for families in need include blankets, cleaning supplies and new and gently worn clothing. All proceeds and donations from the event will benefit the Help4Kids flood relief.
