Kentucky Mist Distillery Opens Not One, But Two New Locations In Myrtle Beach!

Enjoy a taste of the bluegrass state at Myrtle Beach’s hottest new addition, Kentucky Mist Distillery. Founded in the small mountain town of Whitesburg, Kentucky Mist is a family owned operation that has a long history of distilling spirits. Henry Holbrook began distilling in the1920’s and Kentucky Mist evolved as a way to share the family tradition with the world. The first location opened in 2015 and has quickly grown in popularity. Today, the family produces several flavorful varieties of genuine moonshine and vodka.

Kentucky Mist is expanding their footprint with not one but TWO new Grand Strand locations! The first location is at Broadway at the Beach, one of many exciting new vendors to join the already impressive lineup of attractions for the 2018 season. The second location is also now open at Barefoot Landing and is a part of a much larger renovation that is currently underway.

Both locations will closely resemble the original location, with an expansive open floor plan, tasting bar, and retail space. The spirits will be distilled at the Kentucky location and then be shipped to the Myrtle Beach locations for bottling and shipping. Visitors will be able to sip and savor samples, watch the bottling and packaging process, and buy their own moonshine or vodka to take home! The retail shop will also include plenty of other goodies, like branded apparel, local food items, cookbooks, unique souvenirs, and more.

Kentucky Mist currently offers twelve moonshine varieties, most of which feature distinctive fruit flavors like blackberry, lemonade, peach, cranberry, grape, and even caramel apple. Of course, there are unflavored varieties for guests that prefer a more neutral spirit. All Kentucky Mist spirits are made from the original recipe that uses no artificial flavors or additives. Each flavor is great for mixing or is enjoyable served chilled or on the rocks! Moonshine bottles start at $28 and vodka bottles start at $33.

If you’re really looking to get creative, try making one of the signature Kentucky Mist moonshine cocktails. The ‘Hillbilly Sunrise’ is a crowd pleaser, with strawberry moonshine, fresh lemonade, grenadine, and club soda. For a sweet treat, try the ‘Streetside Pink’, made with cranberry moonshine, cranberry juice, fresh lemonade, and grenadine. Or, get creative and create your own concoction! The light, refreshing flavors make the Kentucky Mist moonshine varieties perfect for the beach.

Samples are available a la carte or in flights. Half flights serve five 2 oz samples and are only $5! Or, splurge for the full slight, which serves eleven 2 oz samples for $10.
