With fall fast approaching you may want to consider booking a Myrtle Beach Vacation. With low rates, less crowded beaches, pleasant weather and plenty to do, fall is the perfect time for your next family vacation! Here are the top fall festivals in the Grand Strand and the surrounding areas that you don’t want to miss:

Date: September 2, 2018

Where: Behind the Island Shops in Pawleys Island

What: All-Day Music Festival, Food & Art

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How much: Advanced Tickets $20, 12 and Under Free; $30 Day of Event


Myrtle Beach Waves of Praise Gospel Fest

Date: September 7 - 9, 2018

Where: Old Pavilion Site

What: Weekend Festival Featuring Best in Showcase on Friday, Gospel Fest on Saturday and Bring Your Praise on Sunday

Time: 6:00 p.m. Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday


Inaugural Music & Arts Festival

Date: September 8, 2018

Where: Grande Park at Market Common

What: Rare and limited beers from Wicked Weed Brewing, 30+ Artists, Live Entertainment and Children’s Activities

Dog Days Blues and Jazz Fest

Where: La Belle Amie Vineyard, 1120 St. Joseph Road, Little River

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How much: $8 ($2 discount if you bring in 2 canned/dry food items for the area food bank)


Society of Stranders Fall Shag Migration

Date: September 14-23, 2018

Where: North Myrtle Beach

What: Shag dancing celebration, classes, entertainment and more. Special parties will be held at Fat Harold's, Ducks, Duck's II, the OD Arcade, and other various clubs during the 10-day celebration.


39th Annual Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival

Date: September 15, 2018

Where: Aynor

What: Parade, live music, children's entertainment, vendors, arts, crafts, and more.

How much: Free admission


Native Sons Salt Games

Date: September 15 & 16, 2018 - Cancelled

Where: Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place on Ocean Boulevard between 8th and 9th Ave North

What: Competitive Events including Lifeguard Games & Surf Off, Kids Games & Activities and Food Trucks

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday

14th Annual Brunswick County Intercultural Festival

Date: September 29, 2018 - postponed

Where: Odell Williamson Auditorium Lawn, Brunswick Community College

What: Food tasting, vendors, and performances from different regions of the world

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

How much: Free admission, fees vary for food tasting


43rd Annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival

Date: September 28 - 30, 2018

Where: Atalaya, Huntington Beach State Park

What: Arts, crafts, food, and live music

How much: $10 for adult multi-day pass, 15 and under free


15th Annual Irish Italian International Festival

Date: September 29, 2018

Where: Main Street, North Myrtle Beach

What: Food, entertainment, vendors, dance groups, food competitions, and more.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

How much: Free admission


Brew at the Zoo

Date: September 29, 2018

Where: Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet

What: Craft beer tasting event

How much: $45 per person, $40 for members, $20 for guests designated as drivers

 

26th Annual St. John’s Greek Festival

Date: September 27 – September 30, 2018

Where: St. Johns, intersection of 33rd Avenue North and Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach

3rd Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival

10th Annual Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest

Where: Valor Park at Market Common

What: Oktoberfest Beer, Food, Pumpkin Patch, Live Entertainment, Kids Activities & More

Time: 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday

14th Annual Little River Shrimp Fest

Date: October 13-14, 2018

What: Children's area, vendors, expos, fresh seafood and more.

39th Annual Loris Bog-Off Festival

What: Chicken Bog cooking contest, concert, car and tractor show, fireworks and more.

38th Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival

When: October 20-21, 2018

33rd Annual North Carolina Yam Festival

Date: October 27, 2018

Where: Tabor City, NC

What: Yam contest, pageant, sweet potato auction, cook-off, parade and more.

How much: Free admission for most events


35th Annual Taste of the Town

Where: Myrtle Beach Convention Center

Endless Summer Festival

Myrtle Beach Mile

Date: November 3, 2018

Where: From 24th Avenue North to 9th Avenue North on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach

What: 1-mile race followed by a mini festival.

How much: Entry fees vary from $25 to $50 for individuals

64th Annual South Carolina Tobacco Festival

Date: November 9-10, 2018

Where: Lake City

What: Arts and crafts, food vendors, live performances and more.

 

5th Annual Mythical and Medieval Festival

Date: November 10 - 11, 2018

Where: RH Acres, 3833 Socastee Blvd., Myrtle Beach

What: Myrtle Beach’s only Renaissance Festival including an Artisan’s Village, Fire Show, Live Music, Viking Toss and more. This event raises money for Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams, a local non-profit organization.

How much: $5 for children ages 4-11, $10 for adults

49th Annual South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival

Date: November 22-24, 2018

Where: Myrtle Beach Convention Center

What: Indoor festival features a variety of bluegrass singers and bands.

How much: General Admission $40 adult for one day, $20 per child 7 to 15 for one day and under 7 is free with adult; 3-day passes are also available.
