Myrtle Beach Welcomes New Restaurant: Sweet & Sour Asian Kitchen

Sweet & Sour Asian Kitchen Myrtle Beach visitors craving far east flavors are in luck! A brand new Asian-inspired restaurant is slated to open this fall.

Sweet & Sour Asian Cuisine is the brainchild of the award-winning restauranteur, Greg Pranzo. Pranzo was named the 2017 ‘Restauranteur of the Year’ by the Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association for his notable work within the industry. This will be the third Myrtle Beach restaurant for the entrepreneur, who also owns Wahlburger’s at Broadway at the Beach and Pranzarelli’s Pizza in the Galleria Shopping Center.

According to Pranzo, the cuisine will be unlike anything else in Myrtle Beach. Though the full menu has not yet been released, early statements have teased a wide array of authentic Asian flavors served family style, in addition to traditional rice and noodle dishes and a decadent sushi selection. The owner has also teased an ‘over-the-top’ scorpion bowl that has piqued the interest of many.

Of course, you’ll need a tasty beverage to accompany your exotic meal, and Sweet & Sour plans to deliver on the libation front as well. The eclectic drink list will include creative Asian-inspired cocktails, local brews, wine, and flavorful sake selections. You’re sure to find the perfect match for your exotic culinary adventure.

No Myrtle Beach vacation is complete without dessert, and if you’ve seen any internet videos that have showcased the famous ‘rolled ice cream’ trend, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll be able to find this unique treat right here in Myrtle Beach! The Thai rolled ice cream, which is hand-rolled to order and made with your choice of flavors and toppings, is sure to be a hit with guests of all ages.
