New Additions to Broadway at the Beach for Summer 2018!

Broadway at the Beach, the Grand Strand’s most popular family attraction, is welcoming several new additions this summer. Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Broadway has served as the epicenter for family fun and entertainment for over 20 years.

The popular venue underwent a partial renovation last year to the new ‘Avenue’ (formerly known as ‘Celebrity Square’), which brought favorites like Walburgers, American Tap House, and a new location for Hard Rock Cafe.

The 2018 expansion will welcome several new restaurants and attractions to the already impressive lineup.

New Broadway at the Beach Additions for 2018:

Waffles & Cream

Waffles and Cream Myrtle Beach Food TruckLocated just across from Joe's Crab Shak, this new, trendy food truck features ice cream creations paired with tasty waffles. Indulge in a sweet treat on a hot summer day while strolling around Broadway at the Beach at this new eatery. 

Kentucky Mist Distillery

Adult visitors are sure to enjoy this sweet new addition to Broadway at the Beach. Kentucky Mist Distillery is a brand-new beverage experience that boasts award-winning vodka and moonshine. Visitors are invited to sample, sip, and savor the distillery’s impressive array of premium products, including creative moonshine flavors like caramel apple, blackberry, and apple pie. Flights of 6 flavors are available for only $5 and full bottles of each flavor are also available for purchase.

Sweet South Popcorn

Craving a sweet or salty pick-me-up to get you through the day? If so, a trip to Sweet South Popcorn is just what the doctor offered! This new snack shop will offer a variety of popcorn and kettle corn varieties to please your palate - perfect for grazing throughout the day while you explore Broadway or for a sweet souvenir.

The Grumpy Monk

The Grumpy Monk has been a favorite of locals and college students for the past several years, with their flagship restaurant enjoying a convenient location right off Highway 501. The restaurant is expanding their efforts with a brand-new location at Broadway at the Beach. Known for mouthwatering grub, an impressive selection of craft beer, and fun weekly events, this new location is sure to be a great fit for the bustling venue. The menu will include a variety of pub snacks, burgers, sandwiches, and sushi and will offer daily happy hour deals. And, the new restaurant will also feature a ‘bottle shop’ with rare craft beer offerings from around the United States available for purchase.

Pavilion Park West & Central

The two amusement park areas at Broadway, Pavilion Park West and Pavilion Park Central, are welcoming several new rides this season. Park West is now offering the ‘Broadway 360 Observation Wheel’, an impressive Ferris-wheel style ride that features thirty-six spacious gondolas and stunning views of the surrounding park. Park Central is now offering two new exciting rides, ‘The Beast’ and ‘Tsunami’, which are both ideal for the thrill seekers in your group.

Pearl Harbor Exhibit at Ripley’s Aquarium

The Ripley’s Aquarium, the most popular family attraction at Broadway, opened a brand-new exhibit for the 2018 season. The new Pearl Harbor display transports visitors back in time to Oahu and walks guests through the complete timeline of events. Visitors can take a picture with Franklin D. Roosevelt, the US President at the time, sound an alarm inside the USS Arizona, and much more. The interactive and educational display is sure to be a favorite!

The Simpsons in 4D & Kwik-E-Mart

It’s showtime! A new dimension of family fun hits Myrtle Beach with a first-of-its-kind attraction—The Simpsons in 4D. This all-new experience will feature Springfield’s Kwik-E-Mart and Aztec Theater! Guests will rub elbows with the town’s popular residents, including America’s favorite family, The Simpsons. The Kwik-E-Mart portion opens on August 17 at 10 a.m.with full attraction to premiere later this year. Read more here.
