With several new Myrtle Beach restaurants, attractions, and events opening in 2018, there’s no question that the first thing to do is experience them all! If you’re visiting Myrtle Beach this year you’re not going to want to miss out on these new Myrtle Beach attractions, events, and restaurants!

Tin Roof - A Live Music Joint – Now Open!

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, 1410 North Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach

Tin Roof, conveniently located at the scenic Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, features three bars, 16 beers on tap at any given time, and a delicious Southern-inspired bar menu. This live music venue features an array of entertainment throughout the week including karaoke, themed musical brunches, live bands, DJs and more. 


Masala Chai – Now Open!

9713 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach

Featuring “Real Indian Kerb Food,” this new Myrtle Beach restaurant features authentic Indian street food. Options include Masala Dosa, Papri Chaat, Saag Paneer, Naan Bread and more. They can also alter certain recipes for vegan and gluten free patrons.


Brixx Wood Fired Pizza – Now Open!

8006 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach

Fans of wood-fired pizza will enjoy one of Myrtle Beach’s newest pizza hot spots: Brixx. They pair delicious pizza with craft beer and wine and offer options for everyone including vegan options and gluten free varieties. They make their own dough and offer unique options such as Spicy Shrimp, Wild Mushroom and Chicken Florentine as well as pasta, salads and sandwiches. Be sure to stop by on Sundays for their brunch menu.


Beer Belly Deli – Now Open!

830 Inlet Square Dr, Murrells Inlet

Located in Murrells Inlet near the Inlet Square Mall, Beer Belly Deli offers creative craft sandwiches, salads (including a build-your-own option), paninis, and craft beer options.


Water Tree Cafe – Now Open!

3620 Walton Drive unit C-1, Myrtle Beach

Not far from The Market Common, Water Tree Café serves lunch and dinner with options ranging including salads, sandwiches (including the panini of the week), tacos and entrees like homepage pierogis, vegetable stir fry and coastline catch of the day.


Café De Paris – Now Open!

Barefoot Landing, 4830 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach

A new Barefoot Landing addition, this café features organic, fair-trade tea and coffee along with light dining options like sandwiches, soups, salads, crepes and more. Enjoy their extensive drink menu including lattes, chai tea, mocha, frappes, smoothies and more.


Blueberry’s Grill – Now Open!

With one popular location already in Myrtle Beach that opened last year, Blueberry’s will be opening a second location at Barefoot Landing. Featuring fresh options with unique varieties of everyone’s favorite classics, they serve breakfast all day and have tasty lunch options as well. With vegan, gluten free and heart-healthy options, they have something for everyone. Their generous menu features omelets, benedicts, skillets, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, and more.

Sol y Luna is Myrtle Beach’s newest Latin cantina, specializing in south of the border dishes and drinks. Sol y Luna’s authentic cantina menu features classic offerings, as well as happy hour options seven-days-a-week. Sol y Luna is located in Carolina Forest on River Oaks Drive.


Lucy Buffett's LuLu’s – Now Open!

Barefoot Landing, 4954 Hwy 17 South,  North Myrtle Beach

Located in Barefoot Landing, LuLu’s will be the premier dining destination at Barefoot Landing’s new Dockside Village expansion. Johnny D’s Waffles North Myrtle Beach - Now Open!

Johnny D’s Waffles and Bakery has served delicious breakfast, lunch, and dessert options at their Myrtle Beach location and has recently added their dining experience to North Myrtle Beach.


Rioz North Myrtle Beach - Opening Soon!

North Myrtle Beach will soon be opening its doors to Rioz, a popular Brazilian steakhouse that has served the Myrtle Beach area for years with sizzling chicken, beef, pork, and lamb options, a salad bar with fresh greens, and delicious sides like fried bananas and homemade mashed potatoes.


Waffles and Cream - Now Open!Waffles and Cream new in Myrtle Beach

This Broadway at the Beach food truck features two favorites merged together for the perfect summertime treat. Waffles & Cream features ice cream options such as Waffle Nachos, Waffle Bowls and so much more.


Sweet & Sour Asian Kitchen - Now Open!

This Asian-inspired dining option is new to Myrtle Beach! Enjoy an array of options including Thai rolled ice cream for dessert.

EdVenture Children’s Museum - Now Open!

Brand new in February 2019, EdVenture Children's Museum of Myrtle Beach features interactive and educational exhibits that will entertain kids and parents alike!  The hands-on exhibits are designed to teach kids about aviation and astronomy and include a flight simulator, an actual airplane engine, and a spaceship play area.


Barefoot Landing Expansion - Opening Spring 2018

Barefoot Landing’s new walkable restaurant district will soon be open to the public. This new expansion area is located along the Intracoastal Waterway and is aptly named Dockside Village. Visitors will get to enjoy fabulous dining options along the waterfront and relaxing common areas with wonderful views of the waterway. New Ocean Boulevard Entertainment Complex - Now Open!

Featuring restaurants, entertainment venues, and shops, this three-story oceanfront entertainment complex will be opening soon on Ocean Boulevard. Featured spaces include the live music venue Tin Roof, the burger chain BurgerFi, the seafood and beer destination Papa’s Raw Bar, The Bimini Room bar and restaurant, and a retail store selling beach essentials and sundries. Kentucky Mist Distillery – Now Open!

This new Broadway at the Beach attraction features a store and tasting options (21+) with flavors like apple pie, cherry and peach. Shop their array of moonshine and vodka options during your next visit to Broadway at the Beach! P. Reynolds Jazz By The Ocean – Now Open!

810 Bowling – Now Open!

810 Bowling will soon be opening in The Market Common, providing the area with a new entertainment center for all ages that includes bowling, a restaurant with gourmet food and drinks, and featured games like darts, table tennis, and billiards. You can learn more about 810 Bowling here!


The Simpsons in 4D & Kwik-E-Mart - Coming Soon

It’s showtime! A new dimension of family fun hits Myrtle Beach's Broadway at the Beach with a first-of-its-kind attraction—The Simpsons in 4D. This all-new experience will feature Springfield’s Kwik-E-Mart and Aztec Theater! Guests will rub elbows with the town’s popular residents, including America’s favorite family, The Simpsons. The Kwik-E-Mart portion opens on August 17 at 10 a.m.with full attraction to premiere later this year. Read more here.


Topgolf - Coming Soon

Announced in summer 2017, the premier sports entertainment complex, Topgolf, will soon be making Myrtle Beach its new home. Topgolf features golf games for all ages in an indoor/outdoor facility, with bars, and television viewing areas. Be on the lookout for this new sports attraction!

Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show

For the first time in more than ten years, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will fly across the Grand Strand during the Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show. This fun-for-all event will feature a parachute jump team, the popular Blue Angels flight team, and many other talented aerial performances.

Bookgreen Gardens Summer Lights Festival

Running though August 19, 2018 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, this seasonal festival takes place at the Lowcountry Zoo from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It features amazing light sculptures over a mile trail. Tickets are selling fast and pre-purchase is required. Learn more here.

New Myrtle Beach Flights


New flight destinations and nonstop travel options have been added for 2018 at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR).

  • Allegiant Airlines is adding nonstop service to-and-from Myrtle Beach and Flint, MI and Louisville, KY beginning June 6, and Nashville, TN starting June 8.
  • American Airlines will add flights between MYR and Dallas/Fort Worth every Saturday at 3:15 pm starting April 7.
  • Elite Airlines is adding flights to and from MYR and Albany and White Plains, NY beginning April 5, 2018, and Newport News, VA, beginning April 6.
  • Frontier Airlines will offer nonstop flights to Providence, RI, and Ipslip/Long Island, NY beginning May 20, Trenton, NJ beginning May 21, and Denver, CO beginning May 23.
  • Spirit Airlines will be adding nonstop to and from MYR and Minneapolis/St. Paul and Dallas/Fort Worth starting April 12.
  • Sun County Airlines will be adding twice-a-week flights to and from MYR and Minneapolis between April 6 and June 4.
