Top 5 Myrtle Beach Sports Bars and Restaurants

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Are you an avid sports fan looking for a great place to watch the next big game in Myrtle Beach? Most Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts offer all the basic sports channels you might need, but if your team is playing on a special channel, or you just want to get out and watch the game, there are plenty of Myrtle Beach sports bars and restaurants where you can be among fellow fans.

Loco Gecko: Loco Gecko, located on the 800 block of Ocean Boulevard right near Captain’s Quarters Resort, can play pretty much any game you could want on the flat screen TV’s located around the restaurant. How do they decide which games to play? It’s up to the customers, so you will want to arrive early to pick your TV and choose your game. During the game you can purchase a bucket of beers, order a pizza or try out any of their other myriad of menu items. Plus thanks to the unique design of the restaurant that features bay doors located around half the restaurant, you can enjoy the game and enjoy the beautiful Myrtle Beach weather.

Bully’s Pub: Located at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, Bully’s Pub has 32 ice cold beers on tap for you to enjoy during the big game. They can serve up anything that might help quench your thirst during a game and they stay open until 2 a.m. every night so if you aren’t ready to go home right away after the game you don’t have to! You will want to make sure you try some of micro brews this sports bar has on tap, like the latest from New Belgium Brewing Company or you can try a beer from New South  Brewing Company to taste a beer that is as local as it can get--brewed right in Myrtle Beach! Some of the best eats to enjoy during the game include Little Buddies (four delicious mini burgers), Bully’s Own Spicy Cheese Dip (pretty amazing) and Chicken Wings (you can choose from a variety of flavors like honey, spicy ranch or sweet chili Thai).

Liberty Tap Room: Located at 76th Ave. North and Kings Hwy. in Myrtle Beach, Liberty Tap Room is the perfect meeting place for the big game. This Myrtle Beach sports bar opens at 11 a.m. and serves up some tasty game-watching dishes like Jumbo Chicken Wings, Tap Room Spinach Dip and Roasted Chicken Nachos. They also have some of the best burgers around and what could be better to wash that down with than one of their specialty microbrews?

Longbeard’s Bar & Grill: You’ll probably only want to go to Longbeard’s Bar & Grill on game day if you are a Steelers fan or if you are willing to go undercover. A self-proclaimed Steelers Bar, this Carolina Forest bar attracts fans from both Myrtle Beach and those who are just visiting the area and want to feel at home. The unique atmosphere is reminiscent of a hunting lodge and the menu has a similar character- offering quail and grits in addition to their signature shrimp and grits and “wild boar” pork wings. Longbeard’s also features games for kids or fans too antsy to sit down and watch the game like basketball and cornhole.

Liquid’s Lounge: The Caravelle’s Liquids Lounge is a great place to go and watch the game. Liquids has the NFL Network and carries every college and professional game so you can enjoy some great beer and food as well as every minute of the action on their big screen TVs. Whether you’re staying at The Caravelle or another Myrtle Beach resort, Liquid’s Lounge is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal and watch your favorite team.
