9 Best Restaurants at Barefoot Landing

By Julia Diem

Barefoot Landing, located in North Myrtle Beach, just a quick drive north up the Grand Strand, is a popular place for shopping, entertainment and dining. Located right off Highway 17 S, it’s only a 15-20 minute drive from most Myrtle Beach resorts.

With so many restaurants to choose from, you might be a little overwhelmed when it comes time to choose where you want to eat dinner. To help you out, we've narrowed down our recommendations for the best restaurants at Barefoot Landing.

LuLu’s

Lucy Buffet’s LuLu’s is one of the most beloved restaurants in Barefoot Landing. Combining food, fun, and music, this family-friendly spot is a must-try. Everything at LuLu’s is made from scratch and filled with southern goodness.

Lucy’s is unique because not only do they have parking spots for cars, their waterfront location means they even have dock slips for those coming in by boat. Whether you bring your own or just want to watch those that do, we recommend you sit outside to soak up the full experience.

Dick’s Last Resort

If you don’t mind a few jokes while you are eating and you can use a good laugh, then Dick’s Last Resort restaurant at Barefoot Landing is a great choice. Self proclaimed on their website as “The Shame O’ Barefoot Landing,” Dick’s provides restaurant-goers with amusement during their meal.

Be warned, they might construct a paper hat for you (that they will make you wear) with whatever they want written on it or you might just have a bunch of napkins thrown at you. Humor and fun is the name of the game at Dick’s Last Resort! They serve all kinds of beer from various locations like Holland and Ireland and for eats, they serve up both lunch and dinner with items like half-pound burgers, salads and seafood.

Crossroads at House of Blues

While you may just think of music when you think of the House of Blues, this Barefoot Landing venue also has an excellent restaurant within it called Crossroads. Typically, they even have live music on Saturday nights and a Gospel Brunch on Sundays.

Their menu, put together by Food Network star Aaron Sanchez, includes both lunch and dinner. A variety of appetizers will get your hunger jump started and then you can wrap the meal up with fresh fish, pasta, burgers, or sandwiches. Whether you grab a bite to eat before a concert or want to relax while enjoying your meal, the House of Blues restaurant Crossroads is a great pick!

River City Cafe

Want to dine with the locals? River City Cafe is the place to be. With an eclectic design and laidback menu, this is a no frills restaurant that focuses on one big thing: taste. While they have a handful of delicious menu items, their burgers are what has made them so well-known. For a meal that might not be the healthiest but will certainly be delicious, grab a table at River City Cafe.

Greg Norman Australian Grille

Consistently ranked as one of the best places in the Myrtle Beach area for steak and seafood, this is fine dining at it’s best. Part restaurant, part seafood market, there’s not many dining experiences like this one! Their motto is, “If it swims, we’ll catch it!” so you immediately have an idea of what they’re serving up. For the freshest seafood restaurant in the area, you’ll love eating at Flying Fish. Go for a cooked meal or enjoy their raw bar and sushi specials.
