Top Live Entertainment Spots in Myrtle Beach

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is the area’s premier spot for live entertainment. There are a variety of shows no matter what your personal preference-- from action/adventure to country music.  It was a difficult cut to make, but here are the top three spots to see live entertainment on the Grand Strand:

Alabama Theatre
The Alabama Theatre sparkles an iconic Alabama font and Vegas style sign, and the performers who entertain here are just as iconic as the sign. No matter what time of the year, or how long your visit is, there is sure to be a great performance going down at the Alabama Theatre – from the band Alabama themselves to greats such as Lorrie Morgan, Sammy Kershaw and many more. The Alabama Theatre is known throughout the country music community and will be sure to entertain every member of your party.

The House of Blues
The House of Blues is the best place to see live music in Myrtle Beach, drawing in some big name artists as well as giving local bands starting out a great place to play. Plus the House of Blues has two different places bands can be heard, the main room and The Deck. The Deck is a smaller, more intimate space located outside behind the restaurant. If you’re looking to watch bands play their hearts out, The House of Blues is the place to come.

The Palace Theatre
While music is of course vital to any live entertainment venue, The Palace Theatre offers some different choices for those looking to take in a live show. The regular performance right now is Hot Jersey Nights, with the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons but there is also a live Vegas-style magic show with performances through September 2014. Illusions of Magic features performances by Ben Blaque, from America’s Got Talent 2012, as well as many others. The Palace Theatre is the place to go for entertainment fit for a king.

And, as an extra bonus, the Alabama Theatre and The Palace Theatre are Vacation Myrtle Beach partners, meaning resort guests can get a great discount thanks to the VMB Card. You can check out the details on the Myrtle Beach deals and discounts page.
