What’s the Weather Like in April in Myrtle Beach?

The weather is starting to turn distinctly warm in April. The temperature trends toward the high 60s and low 70s with some days in the mid to upper 80s! Warm weather brings back all of our favorite activities we have had to put away for winter.

The most popular thing to do at the beach is of course going to the beach. The average water temperature is around 68 degrees, which is the perfect temperature to cool off after laying in the sun or partaking in some beach volleyball! Tip: Don’t forget to lather up in sunscreen. Just because it isn’t 90 degrees doesn’t mean you can’t burn.

While many attractions in Myrtle Beach are open year-round, the seasonal outdoor attractions start to open up in April as well. Family Kingdom amusement park typically opens early April and is sure to thrill your family. Local events will be all over the place to take advantage of the warm weather, including Easter events the first weekend in April! Get out and soak up the sunshine this April and enjoy all Myrtle Beach has to offer!
