Why Golfing in the Winter is Great for Your Wallet

By Samantha Norton

Golfing is an age old past time that almost everyone has tried. Tried is the key word, because golf takes practice and Myrtle Beach is the perfect place to put your irons to use.

“Winter” only makes that better, rates drop and course quality stays the same: excellent.

The best part about a vacation in South Carolina is the awesome weather for golf practically year round. There aren’t many places in the U.S. that have ideal golf weather (almost) the whole year round. Known as the BIGGEST golf town in America, Myrtle Beach has nearly 100 golf courses.

These courses are designed by the most elite architects and developers like Arnold Palmer, Fred Couples and Jack Nicklaus!

Course prices drop dramatically in our off season, so you can play as many rounds as you want without feeling it in your wallet. Here are a few of our favorites:

Aberdeen Country Club: The recipient of many awards including ones for value and service, not to mention 4 Stars in Golf Digest for Places to Play.

Pine Lakes Country Club (Located near the Caravelle Resort): The granddaddy of them all, Pine Lakes is one of the most beloved courses. Pine Lakes has modernized, but retains its grandeur.

River Club (Located closest to Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark): This course could easily be named “the bogie course” for all if its water attributes, but it is a member favorite.

Take a vacation with us, and bring your golf clubs! We have all of the best course deals as well as the best room rates! We can also set you up with inclusive room and golf packages.
