Winter Wonderland at The Beach, Myrtle Beach 2021

A brand new winter attraction is here for the 2021 holiday season in sunny Myrtle Beach, SC. Located centrally by downtown Myrtle Beach and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Winter Wonderland at The Beach made its debut on November 26, 2021.

Open daily (except for Christmas Day) through January 2, 2022, Winter Wonderland at the Beach is expected to draw visitors from near and far!

Get in the holiday spirit with two major points of interest:

Winter Wonderland Lights Show:

Lighting up the South Carolina sky is the Winter Wonderland Lights Show, located just steps from the beach. With over 100 light displays featuring a total of over 10,000 holiday lights, this is the perfect outdoor activity for the entire family this season. This walk-through light show features various themes ranging from all your holiday favorites to more local themes including the beach.

Myrtle Beach Ice Skating Rink:

This outdoor ice skating rink is sure to be a hit with all ages. Whether you have never laced up skates before or just want to experience skating near the beach, this ice skating rink is open for the season! The 3,500-square-foot rink features a sheet of ice stretching 50 feet by 70 feet.

In addition to the lights show and skating rink, local businesses will be decorated in their own way for the holiday season, including Plyler Park who will host an array of entertainment and events for the whole family.

Here’s what you need to know:

Winter Wonderland at The Beach is open 7 days a week now through January 2, 2022 (closed on Christmas).
It is open 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. However, the light show does not get started until it is dark out, at 5 p.m. daily.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door; however, no cash is accepted so be sure to bring your credit card. You can purchase your tickets at the primary entrance located on Ocean Boulevard.
There’s an array of pricing options available; one set of options is for adults ages 13 and up; one for kids ages 5 to 12; and one for kids ages 4 and under. Ticket options include just ice skating, just the light show and a combo of both.
Ice Skating is available with skate rental if you don’t have your own skates, or without skate rental if you do. For children, keep in mind that the smallest skate size they will have for rent will be child’s size 8.
