Laundry Manager

Crown Reef Resort is seeking a Laundry Manager for our Laundry Department. The Laundry Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the operations of the Laundry department are in order. Responsible for getting the linen washed and ready to be delivered to the room attendants. Must be able to supervise up to a staff of 20 or more.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
· CUSTOMER SERVICE: Deliver the best service, quality and value to every customer, every time.
Maintain customer satisfaction as the driving philosophy of the Laundry department. Personally
demonstrate a commitment to customer service by responding promptly to guest needs. Commit to
satisfying every guest. Ensure Laundry staff, including all new hires, is trained to meet standards.
Empower Laundry staff to deliver customer service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest
assistance.
· FINANCIAL: Manage department within budget. Accurately forecast expenses. Assist in preparation
of annual departmental budget that accurately reflects the department’s operations plan. Analyze
financial and operating information on an ongoing basis in order to adjust labor, supplies, materials
and other costs to achieve budget. Ensure department staff is trained in control procedures as
outlined by Internal Audit, and that these procedures are consistently followed.
· PEOPLE: Manage people according to Legacy (VMB)’s values. Manage human resources functions
including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, performance reviews, and pay and recognition
programs to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. Maintain a positive, cooperative work
environment between staff and management. Emphasize training and development as a way of doing
business in order to empower employees to successfully perform their jobs. Help to develop
management talent by acting as a mentor for direct reports. Resolve employee grievances fairly and
timely. Ensure employees fully understand performance standards, review process, and reward
successes. Manage safety program to protect guests and employees and which meets OSHA
requirements. Use ongoing safety plan to minimize workers’ compensation claims.
· QUALITY: Maintain physical product standards by routinely inspecting linen quality and laundry
facilities to ensure proper working condition and departmental supplies are stocked at proper levels.
Submit work orders to the maintenance department on a timely basis and follow up to ensure
completion. Justify requests for capital projects using ROI. Manage security procedures such as key
control and monthly inventory.

Assistant Director of Housekeeping

Crown Reef Resort is seeking a candidate for Assistant Director of Housekeeping.

JOB SUMMARY

Assist in managing the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department and responsible for ensuring efficient operations of the Department in the absence of the Housekeeping Director and in accordance with Legacy Business Solutions standards.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Legacy standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the housekeeping department.
Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms/suites and public areas to ensure everything is clean and in good repair
Assist in controlling expenses and minimizing waste in all areas of housekeeping.
Conduct pre-shift meeting and review all information pertinent to the day’s activities
Assist with inspection of rooms daily.
Assist with the review of Housekeeping staff's worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to accounting on a timely basis.
Assist with the preparation of employee Schedule according to the business forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements.
Assist with the overall supervision of daily inspection for arriving V.I.P.'s.
Ensure lobbies, guest hallways, guest rooms and the back of the house areas are cleaned.
Assist with deep cleaning projects
Assist Housekeeping staff during unanticipated rush periods
Assist with the completion of monthly and quarterly Housekeeping inventories on a timely basis.
Ensure guest privacy and security by correctly following procedures.
Ensure implementation of all policies and house rules.
Assist in training of all housekeeping staff.
Respond to all guest requests, situations, complaints and accidents presented to Housekeeping in an attentive, courteous and efficient way.
Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with other managers, employees and all other departments.
Assist in monitoring “Lost and Found" procedures and policies according to standards.
Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees.

Room Attendants

Crown Reef Resort is seeking several Room Attendants for our Housekeeping Department. This position is responsible for cleaning our guest rooms at the resort. Applicants must be available to work a 9:00AM – 5:00PM shift, five days per week and working weekends and holidays is required. This is a part time position.
