Nonstop from MYR to Youngstown, OH starts April 22

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - For the second time this week, Allegiant Air announced a new nonstop flight out of Myrtle Beach. The Las Vegas-based company will begin nonstop flights fro Youngstown, OH on April 22.

Allegiant Air, a low-cost airline, will launch the new service from Myrtle Beach International Airport to Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport with two flights weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights will depart Youngstown at 2:05 p.m. arriving in Myrtle Beach at 3:45 p.m. Flights leaving Myrtle Beach will depart at 2:45 p.m. arriving in Youngstown at 4:25 p.m. Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft on the route.

"The airport and community are extremely excited with the opportunity to fly nonstop to Myrtle Beach," Scott Lynn, Youngstown board chairman, said.

According to a press release from the company, Allegiant Travel Co. is focused on linking travelers in small cities to world-class leisure destinations. Through Allegiant Air, the company operates a low-cost, high-efficiency, all-jet passenger airline offering air travel both on a stand-alone basis and bundled with hotel rooms, rental cars and other travel related services.
