The Top 5 Vacation Myrtle Beach Partner Restaurants

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Here in Myrtle Beach we are lucky to have a very diverse selection of restaurants; serving everything from chicken fingers to foie gras, and no one does it better. And while here on vacation it may be difficult to navigate the assortment of food available. Here’s a list of the top 5 must eat at restaurants in town. Bon appétit!

Best Dinner and a Show – In this category the obvious choice is the famous House of Blues. Their menu consists of the classics, like great burgers and macaroni and cheese, mixed with local favorites, like market fresh fish, cornbread with maple butter and bourbon bread pudding. All of this is served while you listen to a live local band in the Crossroads Dining Room or purchase VIP table tickets in the concert hall and rock on with the crowd. Either way the House of Blues is the best place for good food and good music. And it’s close to one of the best Myrtle Beach resorts—Ocean Creek Resort!

Best All You Can Eat – Not every “all you can eat” restaurant is the stereotypical buffet and Rioz is definitely the exception. Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse was the first of its kind in Myrtle Beach and in our opinion it’s still the best. For those of you who have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, let me explain. First you start with the appetizer bar, which along with the traditional salad adds fresh sushi, black beans and rice, and gourmet cheeses and cold cuts. And that is only the beginning. Once you are ready for your main course 12 different cuts of beef, pork, chicken and lamb, which have been slow roasted over wood charcoal, are brought to your table, one at a time and cut fresh off the spit in any size portion you desire. It’s a delicious way to bring out your inner caveman.

Best Place for Brews – If you are looking for great food and foaming, fresh brewed beer there is no place like Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery. Their menu is an array of traditional bar fare, like Buffalo wings and pork sliders, and classic burgers, pizzas and steak for heartier options. Make sure to ask your server which of their home brews they recommend pairing with your meal. They range from a citrusy white ale to a hearty nut brown ale to an aromatic raspberry wheat, add those to that their seasonal options and that’s enough beer to make your head spin, literally.

Best Off-Season Staple – For northerners looking for a break from the cold, a Myrtle Beach vacation is exactly what you need but many of the best restaurants in the area keep seasonal hours. Thoroughbred’s Chophouse is one of those restaurants that can’t, because even in the off-season they are still packed with local residents, cozying up in a booth next to the roaring wood fireplace. Their unique menu starts with appetizers like blackened lollipop lamb chops and duck tenderloins, and it doesn’t end there. Their entrées include Chateaubriand Bouqetiere, served for two, carved and flamed at your table, Waimea Bay Ahi Tuna flown in from Hawaii, and a calf’s liver pan seared with Applewood smoked bacon. They also serve classic steaks and fresh local seafood dishes that are rivaled by none, making Thoroughbred’s one of the best on the beach.  It also enjoys a prime location near North Myrtle beach and outstanding Myrtle Beach hotels like Sea Watch Resort.

Best Bar Food at the Beach – During a long hot afternoon of shopping in the famous Barefoot Landing there is no better place to stop for a cold drink and a snack than Bully’s Pub and Grill. With 8 different flavors of wings, nachos with homemade tortilla chips and “little buddies” (mini burgers made with Black Angus beef) you’ll soon realize this is much more than typical pub fare. Their lunch menu has local favorites like a Carolina slow roasted pork sandwich and a giant burger that’s nicknamed El Toro. This is the kind of food that’ll keep you going while exploring the boardwalk and peering at the beasts lurking in Alligator Adventure.
