Veteran’s Day in Myrtle Beach
Come early November, Veterans and families from all over the East coast will be converging for a Myrtle Beach vacation.
Veteran’s Day is the annual time when Americans honor veterans who have valiantly served in the United States armed forces. A number of events are organized each year in Myrtle Beach, and there are usually several restaurants that offer veterans either a free or a discounted meal on the day itself-- their way of showing appreciation for the sacrifice made by our veterans. VMB resorts will also likely be offering special deals and discount to veterans this year. Keep an eye on the Myrtle Beach resort specials page to see when these deals pop up.
It is expected that the Annual Veteran’s Day Ceremony will be held, as usual, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Special Events Plaza. This is usually followed up each year by the United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors. This wonderful band, which is acclaimed all over the world, travels thousands of miles each year to perform in Myrtle Beach and other locations around the United States, and their performance this Veteran’s Day is anticipated eagerly. To have the most convenient trip to see this one-of-a-kind performance, stay at the nearby Palms Resort.
Veteran’s Day, which is always celebrated on November 11, a time of the year that’s usually comfortably mild in Myrtle Beach. You won’t experience the heat waves of the Myrtle Beach summer months, but you can expect daytime temperatures to be in the 70s and even occasionally getting into the 80s from time to time.
A trip to Myrtle Beach will make it easy to honor those who served, reflect and enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
