Farmstead Golf Links

Head north and experience the beauty of one of the most unique courses along the Grand Strand.  Farmstead Golf Links is unique for several reasons.  The first is that the course features the only par 6 hole in the Myrtle Beach area.  The 18th hole plays 767-yards from the tips with even the red tees measuring in at 635-yards.  Stand on the back tee and plan out your next few shots because it’s going to be awhile before you reach the green.

The second reason Farmstead is unique is because half of the course is in North Carolina while the other half is in South Carolina.  In fact, on the 10th hole you can hit your tee shot across the boarder as the tee box sits in North Carolina with the majority of the fairway in South Carolina.

At 7242 yards, Farmstead will challenge every golfer with a host of long iron shots and plenty of well placed hazards.  Water runs the length of several holes including the majority of par 3’s.  The 15th hole is the signature hole (pictured above).  At 228 yards, the par 3 requires an accurate tee shot to a large oval green that funnels to the back left.

Eventually, the track will bring you to the mammoth par 6 18th hole, which is perhaps the best finishing hole along the grand strand.  The hole isn’t overly difficult as long as you stay in the fairway.  Water runs all the way down the left side of the hole but the fairway is over 70 yards wide at its widest point.  Keep it in play and you’ll head into the clubhouse with a par.

Farmstead boasts a beautiful 8,000 square foot clubhouse with a full-service pro shop, restaurant, and player lounge.  Other amenities include a large putting green, driving range, snack shop, and on-course beverage carts.
