Breakfast enthusiasts, rejoice! Blueberry’s Grill, which opened the doors to their first location in 2017, is expanding and adding a second location this year at Barefoot Landing. The new breakfast joint is expected to open Summer 2018 and is part of ongoing upgrades across the popular family destination.

Open daily from 8 am to 3 pm, Blueberry’s offers fresh and creative options for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients whenever possible and creates dishes to highlight the fresh ingredients. Blueberry’s fully embraces their motto of ‘reinventing breakfast and lunch’ with eclectic flavors and fun twists on traditional favorites. The restaurant also emphasizes service and invites all visitors to ‘come as a stranger, leave as a friend’.

The Blueberry ‘specialties’ are signature items and are the most popular choices for first-time visitors. The ‘monte cristo’ sandwich offers a fun twist on a classic favorite with hand-sliced Virginia ham, American and Swiss cheeses, and light mayo. The sandwich is battered, fried, and served with a hearty helping of Blueberry’s homemade sauce. Another fun play on a classic, the ‘chicken & waffles with sugar pears’ features three pieces of fried chicken and Swedish crystal white pears served over a fluffy homemade waffle with pomegranate sauce and creamy syrup. Other signature favorites include the ‘village burrito’, ‘breakfast of champions’, and ‘French beignets’, which are reminiscent of the famous New Orleans treat.

Other menu items include the ‘breakfast sweet treats’, which includes homemade pancakes, french toast, and waffles offered in a variety of fun flavors. ‘Omelettes and benedicts’ covers a wide array of egg dishes while ‘sandwiches and skillets’ features handhelds and plates loaded with eggs, potatoes, and toppings.

If lunch is more your speed, Blueberry’s also offers several fresh salads, savory small plates, and hearty entrees, including the famous ‘Charleston shrimp & grits’ and the succulent ‘Napa chicken’.

Blueberry’s also offers health-conscious options and menu items for visitors with dietary restrictions. Lighter options include the ‘healthy omelette’, which is made with egg whites, broccoli, roasted red peppers, onions, and goat cheese and comes with a side of fresh fruit. Gluten-free visitors are sure to enjoy the gluten-free pancakes or crispy waffle.

If you’re in the mood for an adult beverage to pair with your meal, you’re in luck. Blueberry’s also offers an impressive cocktail list with creative concoctions to match their eclectic food selections. The brunch spot is most well-known for their mojitos, bloody marys, mimosas, and mules, though the savvy bar staff can certainly whip you your favorite drink as well. Of course, Blueberry’s also offers plenty of non-alcoholic options, like coffee, fresh juice, sodas, tea, and more.

A trip to Blueberry’s isn’t just about the food, it’s about the experience. The expert staff is well-versed in menu offerings and provides fast, friendly service, which makes Blueberry’s a great destination for families and groups of any size.
