Father’s Day in Myrtle Beach

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Mother’s Day is in the rearview mirror but there’s another major family member that you’ll need to be celebrating soon. Father’s Day falls on the 3rd Sunday in June, which this year is 16th, and now is the time to start planning that special surprise for Dad. Here are some options that can be considered well in advance when planning a stay at Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts.

The first option is one that any dad would be thrilled to receive, and that is a Father’s Day trip to watch the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball team play the Carolina Mudcats. This is a special Family Sunday with dads as the focal point. The game starts at 6 p.m., but there are often plenty of pre-game activities to keep you and Dad occupied. After the game is over there will be a Father’s Day Celebration, with a fireworks display on the field following the last innings. And Vacation Myrtle Beach guests enjoy special discounts on food and pro shop goods.

If Dad is a golfer, then there could be nothing better than arranging for him a customized golf package at one of Vacation Myrtle Beach hotels. With more than 100 golf courses along the Grand Strand including 10 of the Nation’s top 100 public golf courses, you can customize a golf package that includes your daily green fee, nightly accommodations, a buffet breakfast and at some VMB resorts a welcome gift on arrival. You can choose from any of the courses and customize the package to suit your pocket.

If Dad is just not into sports, then surprise him with a special Father’s Day Sunday lunch. There are 50 restaurants partnered with the VMB Card offering Myrtle Beach discounts and they cover all tastes. You’ll find that many of Myrtle Beach’s restaurants will be offering Father’s Day specials, some of which will be too good to put aside.
