Independent Republic Brewing Company Reinvents Beer at The Boathouse Myrtle Beach

The Boathouse is known for having the best backyard in Myrtle Beach. Over the summer you can enjoy their free Sunday concert series and feel the cool breeze from the Intracoastal Waterway. New this year, Independent Republic Brewing Company added a beer garden where you can enjoy local beers while you relax in the summer sun at the Boathouse.

Independent Republic Brewing Head Brewer, Sean Taylor, started homebrewing about five years ago with local ingredients and, as we say, the rest is history. Taylor has won several awards for his beer and decided to open up his very own beer garden at one of the best spots in town. Longtime friends and Boathouse owners, Misty and Tripp Coan opened the beer garden on April 1, 2019.

If the location of Independent Republic Brewing Company is not enough, bring your furry friend and give them a refreshing dog beer. The Boathouse is dog-friendly Monday through Saturday with Yappy Hour happening on Wednesdays from 4-7 pm. During yappy hour your dog can enjoy treats and alcohol-free dog beer with Nellie, the Boathouse “spokesdog”.
