4th of July Events & Fireworks in Myrtle Beach

Are you lucky enough to enjoy an Independence Day getaway to Myrtle Beach? If so, you’ll find no shortage of exciting area events and plenty of fireworks to keep your crew entertained during this patriotic holiday. There are a variety of fireworks shows planned for this summer in Myrtle Beach (including the 4th of July) as well as a variety of 4th of July parades on the schedule.

The 4th of July is right around the corner and if you haven’t booked your Myrtle Beach accommodations yet, you will want to book while you still can! July 4th falls on a Wednesday this year (Wednesday, July 4th, 2018) - here’s what you can expect during the days prior to and during the holiday.


Myrtle Beach Fireworks - All Summer Long

Throughout the summer, Myrtle Beach becomes a haven for firework spectaculars. You'll be hard pressed to not find pyrotechnics lighting up the Myrtle Beach sky. Check out where you can find fireworks in Myrtle Beach all summer long:

  • Myrtle Beach Pelicans Games (select dates, post-game): The Pelicans have various promotions throughout the summer, including pre-game autographs for kids, discounted beverages and concessions, and much more!

  • Broadway at the Beach Fireworks (most Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m.): Summer Nights at Broadway at the Beach provides tons of free family-friendly activities and entertainment seve-days-a-week throughout the summer, including fireworks, fire dancers, and face painting.

  • 2nd Avenue Pier Fireworks (Wednesday nights during summer at 10 p.m.): Head to 2nd Avenue Pier for scenic vistas of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, fishing, and dining!

  • Barefoot Landing Fireworks (most Mondays at 10 p.m.): Barefoot Landing also hosts its SummerFest! series every day during the summer. This family-friendly fun begins at 7 pm every night, with most Mondays ending with a dazzling fireworks display.

 

Myrtle Beach 4th of July Fireworks

Myrtle Beach will be brimming with firework extravaganzas on July 4th and the days leading up to the big day! These are the best 4th of July fireworks in Myrtle Beach:

  • Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Tuesday, July 3rd) post-game
  • Broadway at the Beach at 10 p.m.

  • Barefoot Landing at 10 p.m.

  • Murrells Inlet Marshwalk at 10 p.m.

  • 2nd Ave. Pier at 10 p.m.

Myrtle Beach July 4th Parades

Grab a chair and enjoy a scenic parade (on land and water!) at one of these locations this July 4th:

  • 35th Annual Boat Parade, Murrells Inlet  at 4 p.m. starts at Garden City Point on July 4th

  • 51st Annual Fourth of July Parade, Pawley’s Island at 10 a.m. on July 4th


Croissants' 7th Annual Cupcake Eating Contest | Croissants Bistro & Bakery Grande Dunes | 3 pm - 5 pm

Want $500 in cash and tickets to Myrtle Beach attractions, stores, and restaurants, and the proud distinction of being crowned a cupcake champion? Then you can't miss Croissants' 7th Annual Cupcake Eating Contest this July 4th at their Grande Dunes location! You'll have five minutes to eat as many delicious cupcakes as you can and stand atop the rest as the "2018 Cupcake Champion". Last year's cupcake champion downed 59 cupcakes! Salute From the Shore

Salute F-16s and vintage military aircraft as they fly over the shore for this annual event! The flyover begins at 1p.m. The planes will fly over the Grand Strand and the South Carolina coast.
