4th of July Events & Fireworks in Myrtle Beach

Are you lucky enough to be enjoying an Independence Day getaway to Myrtle Beach? If so, you’ll find no shortage of exciting area events and plenty of fireworks to keep your crew entertained during this patriotic holiday.

There are a variety of fireworks shows planned for this summer in Myrtle Beach (including the 4th of July) as well as a variety of 4th of July Parades on the schedule.

The 4th of July is right around the corner and if you haven’t booked yet, you will want to book at your favorite Myrtle Beach resort while you still can! Rooms fill up quickly for this summertime holiday and you don’t want to miss choosing the perfect accommodation for your family’s Myrtle Beach 4th of July vacation.

July 4th falls on a Tuesday this year (Tuesday, July 4th, 2017) - here’s what you can expect during the days prior to and during the holiday.

Myrtle Beach Fireworks (all summer long)

  • Myrtle Beach Pelicans Games (select dates, post-game)

  • Broadway at the Beach Fireworks (most Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m.)

  • 2nd Avenue Pier Fireworks (various evenings through the summer at 10 p.m.)

  • Barefoot Landing Fireworks (most Mondays at 10 p.m.)

  • Murrells Inlet at Veteran’s Pier at 10 p.m.

Myrtle Beach July 4th Parades

  • 34th Annual Boat Parade, Murrells Inlet  at 4 p.m. starts at Garden City Point on July 4th

  • 51st Annual Fourth of July Parade, Pawley’s Island at 10 a.m. on July 4th


Salute From the Shore

Salute F-16s and vintage military aircraft as they fly over the shore for this annual event! The flyover begins at 1p.m. over Cherry Grove Pier and ends in Hilton Head at 1:30 p.m. The planes will fly over the Grand Strand between those times.

  • Myrtle Beach - 1:03 p.m.

  • Pawley's Island - 1:06 p.m.

  • Isle of Palms - 1:15 p.m.

  • Charleston Harbor - 1:16 p.m.

  • Folly Beach - 1:20 p.m.

  • Edisto Island - 1:24 p.m.

  • Hilton Head Island - 1:31 p.m.


Myrtle Beach July 4th Resort Activities

The best part about picking a resort that has fun activities is not having the need to leave your resort during your stay if you don’t want to. Many Myrtle Beach resorts will have all day events on the 4th of July for their guests.
