Myrtle Beach on a Budget: Market Common

Planning a Myrtle Beach vacation doesn’t have to put a damper on the budget. Live Music
Market Common is hosting several free live music events throughout the summer that you won’t want to miss! On Wednesday evenings, June – August, stop by the gazebos between 6pm – 9pm for Music in the Streets. Guests can enjoy different bands each week and get a free face painting from trained professionals. If you are in the area on a Thursday, head to Valor Park for Music on the Green. The park will host local bands from 7pm – 10pm. Bring a blanket and a few chairs and let the kids enjoy an evening playing at the park while the adults kick back, relax, and take in the sounds of summer!

Free Movies
Curl up on a blanket and relax after a long day while watching a movie under the stars! Each Friday throughout the summer, Market Common will screen a free, family friendly movie on a large outdoor screen at Valor Park. Guests are invited to bring a blanket and come early, the show starts at 9pm but you will want to arrive before to scope out prime real estate. Stuck with a rainy day at the beach? Fret not! On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, the Grand 14 Cinemas at Market Common is offering a free family friendly movie. The movies will vary each week but are sure to keep everyone entertained. Movies begin each morning at 10am and popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase for only $1.

Free Carriage Rides
After you are worn from perusing the avenues, hitch a ride on a real life horse and carriage! Every Friday evening throughout the summer, guests can enjoy complimentary carriage rides throughout this scenic venue beginning at Dolce Lusso from 6pm – 9pm. A carriage ride is the perfect way to end an evening of dining or a busy day enjoying the sights and sounds of Myrtle Beach!
