New Downtown Myrtle Beach

Bringing Life And Beer To Downtown Myrtle Beach

This summer, you will be able to experience a new brewery, just a short walk from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade.

The Grand Strand Brewery will be located in the new arts and innovation district in Downtown Myrtle Beach.

“The idea here is to make it much more of a destination for our residents to enjoy the arts and enjoy a much more diverse sort of experience,” Myrtle Beach city manager, John Pedersen said.

Visitors can expect to taste handcrafted beers and food prepared by local chefs and restaurants.

The second floor will be The Maker Exchange, where a creative space of about 7,000 square feet can be used for community events like weddings, art classes, and more.

“That’s what we’re trying to do, is to create a downtown that is vibrant for all ages but also to attract our young people back to that area to live, to work, to play, and just to enjoy,” said Mayor Brenda Bethune.

While you’re on vacation, you can find the new microbrewery and maker-and-event-space on 819 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.

Stay at Beach Colony Resort and drive eight minutes to a refreshing handcrafted beer.
