New Myrtle Beach Restaurant: Loco Gecko Beach Shak

By Vacation Myrtle Beach

Loco GeckoMyrtle Beach’s newest dining experience is opening on Saturday, June 30 on Ocean Boulevard, just in time for the 4th of July.  Loco Gecko Beach Shak at the Captain’s Quarters Resort will provide a dining experience unlike any other in Myrtle Beach to Captain’s Quarters Resort guests, locals and Myrtle Beach visitors.

“We are excited to add Loco Gecko to our extensive list of amenities for our guests as well as provide a unique dining experience for beachgoers and Myrtle Beach locals along an area of Ocean Boulevard that is currently lacking in quality restaurant choices,” said Paul Leiva of Captain’s Quarters.

The restaurant will feature a variety of menu options including appetizers, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, baskets, quesadillas, pizzas, salads and a kids’ menu. Diners will be able to enjoy their food inside at the bar, outside on the patio with an ocean-view or take it to go. Loco Gecko will also provide room service at the resort and food service to theLevel 6 Bowling and Entertainment Center.

The food choices at the resort will provide options that people look for when coming to the beach, said Leiva.

“Loco Gecko will have something for everyone. From an Oyster Po-Boy to a more simple option of a pepperoni pizza, we know that everyone will leave full and happy.”

The restaurant will also feature a full-service bar, with a unique bar-top that will change colors when it is touched and a mosaic floor that features a variety of fun beach shots and logos. The uniqueness of the atmosphere and the reasonable prices make Loco Gecko a choice for families looking to have a great meal while at the beach.

“This will be a great place for families during the day and will extend into a bar-setting at night. It’s the perfect place for a tasty meal and a great time without breaking your wallet,” said Leiva.

A soft-opening was held on Friday for the restaurant. Leiva said it was a success.“Our very first guests loved our menu and already can’t wait to return. Everyone was also really impressed with the atmosphere and many said that they haven’t seen anything like it along the Grand Strand.”

Beyond having an extensive menu, the restaurant will also feature live music and other entertainment six days a week. Loco Gecko will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m., with the full menu being served until 10 p.m. when a limited menu will be served for the late-night crowd. Loco Gecko is located at 805 S. Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.
