Vacation Myrtle Beach Resorts Tournament Golf Days

Vacation Myrtle Beach Resorts hosts Tournament Days throughout the summer at various North Myrtle Beach courses. From June 11 until September 5, 2012, golfers are welcome to play at the Barefoot Resort award winning courses.

These courses have rankings ranging from no. 1 to no. 28 in Golf Digest’s “Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach.” The facility has also been voted as the no. 1 golf course in “Best of the Grand Strand” for three years in a row.

The Love, Fazio and Dye courses at one point have all been named on the Golf Digest’s Top 100 U.S. Public Golf Courses list. Here’s a closer look at the courses:

• The Fazio course is a truly southern course with all the beautiful landscaping like lakes and tree canopies that you would associate with the south. This Par 71 course features 6,834 yards of golf.
• The 72-par Dye course was created by Pete dye to be a memorable golf experience while providing a challenge to golfers. Laid out over 7,343 yards, this course uses grasses indigenous to the area.
• The Norman course is comprised of about 7,200 yards and is Par 72. This course has stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway.  
• The Love course was played earlier in the summer and will be back open for play well before this fall's golf season and will be in next year’s tournament. This course is currently closed because it is the last of the four courses to get the Champion UltraDwarf greens installed.

Guests who choose to take advantage of this deal will receive a low rate of $50 per person with their VMB Card, which includes the green fee, cart fee and range balls. This is a savings of $55!

Be sure to call ahead at least 48 hours ahead of time to reserve your tee time. Tee times for this special deal start at noon. Plus, the tournament features weekly prizes from the Barefoot Pro Shop as long as there are 24 players on the field, so gather up your golf buddies and head to the greens during your stay at one of the Vacation Myrtle Beach resorts.

The upcoming tournament schedule is as follows: July 30 at Fazio, August 6 at Dye, August 13 at Norman, August 20 and 27 at Fazio, and September 3 at Dye. To reserve your tee time call their pro shop at 843-390-3200.
