What’s New in Myrtle Beach 2013

Every year brings new and exciting things in Myrtle Beach. From new attractions to new services, Myrtle Beach is better than ever.

Check out these highlights of what’s new in Myrtle Beach in 2013:

Family Kingdom
Family Kingdom added four new highly anticipated rides to their amusement park in Myrtle Beach. Twist ‘n Shout Coaster, Kite Flyer, Flight School and Frog Hopper are all new this year. Family Kingdom also changed the name of their waterpark to Splashes.

Myrtle Beach International Airport
In 2013 the Myrtle Beach International Airport opened its new $118 million terminal, complete with dining, additional gates, and more. Looking to fly into Myrtle Beach? Spirit Airlines added additional routes from Baltimore/Washington and Philadelphia. Plus, WestJet added a Toronto to Myrtle Beach flight to their itinerary.

Encounters: U.F.O. Experience
New to Broadway at the Beach, Encounters: U.F.O. Experience is a one-of-a-kind attraction at the beach. Open this year only the exhibit will be here until Labor Day. Here you can see evidence, hear stories and feel what it is like to be abducted.

Restaurants
A variety of new restaurants opened up this year in Myrtle Beach including Chipotle, Green Grubbin’, Smitty’s Pine Island Pub, Simply Southern Smokehouse, and Burger Beach Bar and Grill.

Myrtle Beach Jetpack Adventures
A new water attraction has opened in Myrtle Beach this year: Myrtle Beach Jetpack Adventures. This activity is safe, fun and will fill your veins with adrenaline as you hover 30 feet above the water with the help of your jetpack. Be sure to check them out!

Shark Attack Mini Golf
Located oceanfront, Shark Attack Mini Golf is located at the site of the former Chesterfield Inn in Myrtle Beach. Play mini golf while enjoying views of the ocean.
