Myrtle Beach Itinerary: Beer, Wine and Beach

Myrtle Beach is known for many things, but have you ever considered making craft beer and wine the focus of your trip? We don’t mean drink the whole time, but take the time to sample a variety of beers and wines, many of which are made locally, in a unique setting in Myrtle Beach. Get your taste buds ready for this sample itinerary for an extended weekend in Myrtle Beach focusing on locally-made beers and a variety of wines.

Thursday

  • Afternoon: Stop for wine tasting at Grapefull Sisters Vineyard on your way into town.
  • Late Afternoon: Take a tour of the Myrtle Beach microbrewery: New South Brewing at 3 p.m. and try a couple of samples afterwards.
  • Early Evening: Check in at your resort.

Friday

  • Breakfast: Have breakfast at your resort.
  • Morning: Go for a walk on the beach.
  • Late Afternoon: Head over to Broadway at the Beach and sample wines at the Boardwalk Winery’s tasting room.
  • Lunch: Have lunch at one of the many Broadway at the Beach restaurants.
  • Afternoon: Relax by the pool.
  • Dinner: Have a light dinner at Gordon Biersch Restaurant and Brewery and enjoy a cold glass of hand crafted beer at this Market Common restaurant.
  • Evening: Sip on a couple of glasses of wine and a plate of fresh organic cheese at Coastal Wine Boutique at The Market Common.

Saturday

  • Breakfast: Have a picnic on your balcony.
  • Late Morning: Head up to Barefoot Landing for wine tasting at Carolina Vineyards Winery where you can taste 7 wines.
  • Lunch: Have lunch at one of the many great Barefoot Landing restaurants.
  • Afternoon: Take a short drive up to La Belle Amie Vineyard for an afternoon wine tasting and sample 6 of their wines.
  • Dinner: Have dinner at Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery at Broadway at the Beach and try out the Brewmasters Special Beer or any of their other house-crafted beers on tap like Raspberry Wheat or Miss Liberty Lager.
  • Evening: Take an evening stroll along the beach and look for shells.

Sunday

  • Breakfast: Have a picnic on the beach.
  • Morning: Pack up and check out of your resort.
