Halloween in Myrtle Beach 2024 – Events, Festivals & More

Kids dressed as PiratesWitch-ing you a spook-tacular Halloween! There are lots of ways to celebrate Halloween in Myrtle Beach, both scary and friendly. Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, so most of the events occur the weekend prior. As always, check with the local venues just in case there should be a change because of the weather.

Ripley’s Haunted Adventure!

  • Where: 915 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach
  • Date: Currently open daily
  • When: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This haunted attraction on the Myrtle Beach Boulevard features a 1908 murder mystery throughout a haunted manor. While fun and scary at the same time, screams are expected! Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is for ages 6 years and up.

 

Thompson Farms Flashlight Fridays!

  • Where: Thompson Farm and Nursery, in Conway
  • Date: Every Friday in October 2024
  • When: 5 p.m., movies begin at dusk

This is a favorite event at the farm during the fall! There will be a fire pit, play area, sweet treats and coffee available for purchase, a movie beginning at dusk, and a 6-acre corn maze.  If you’re up for the spooky challenge, give the 6-acre corn maze a try in the dark!

 

Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates & Historic Families Trolley Tour!

  • Where: The Market Common ride to Murrells Inlet and beyond
  • Date: Thursdays in October (as well as future dates available!)
  • When: 10 a.m. to Noon

Learn the area’s local ghost stories and historic past during a two-hour narrated trolley ride from Myrtle Beach to Murrells Inlet. Guests will get to see Brookgreen Gardens’ Gardener’s Cottage, Pawleys Island Hammock Shops, and more, all while receiving an informative overview of pirate tales and ghosts. Hopsewee Plantation Ghost Tour!

  • Where: Hopsewee Plantation in Georgetown
  • Date:  Wednesdays in October (as well as future dates available!)
  • When: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Go back in time and experience Haunted Tales at Hopsewee Plantation, presenting stories of Author and storyteller Elizabeth Robertson Huntsinger. She’s been a Historical Interpreter for over 25 years. Make sure to arrive early for Hopsewee Happy Hour and enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres by the river before your tour. Feel free to browse the gift shop and get your book purchases signed by the author. Prices vary by age $10 – $22 a person.

 

Thrifted Ghost Painting!

  • Where: Kaleidoscope Artisan Collective, 519 Broadway St, Myrtle Beach
  • Date: Tuesday, October 15, 2024
  • When: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Tis the season to be spooky! Come join this art gallery painting class with fun people as you are guided on how to convert that old thrift store painting into a spooky option! You may bring your own painting or click on the “add on” during checkout for the class to supply one for you. All paint supplies are included. The price is $30 or add on $5 for your painting to be supplied. Seats are limited.

 

Conway Ghost Walk!

  • Where: Conway Visitors Center
  • Date: Wednesday – Saturday, October 16 – 19, 2024
  • When: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This year the Conway Ghost Walk travels beneath the stately oaks of the Historic Conway Borough Residential District and along the way, storytellers share tales that are spooky, sometimes humorous, and guaranteed to become part of your family’s Halloween tradition. Dress appropriately for walking surfaces of sidewalks, grass, slight inclines, or hills and roadways. A flashlight to bring is optional to utilize when traveling from location to location.  The storytelling tour has six stops, and the route is approximately 1 mile. Tickets are $25 each and will likely sell out, so be sure to get your tickets early.

 

 Halloween Golf Cart Parade!

  • Where: Downtown Conway
  • Date: Saturday, October 19, 2024
  • When: 9:30 a.m.

Gather your family, friends, and neighbors for a fun morning! Choose a theme, get into costume, and decorate a golf cart to celebrate the Halloween season. The Halloween Golf Cart Parade will begin at the Conway Public Safety Building on 9th Avenue. Awards will be presented at this fun event.

 

Halloween Hustle

  • Where: 2 Elm St Conway, SC
  • Date: Saturday, October 19, 2024
  • When: Halloween Hustle Challenge: 7:00 a.m., 10K: 7:00 a.m., 5K: 8:30 a.m., Monster Mile: 9:30 a.m.

Conway is known as The City of Halloween in October! They like to roll out the red carpet and welcome visitors to their festive streets. The all-new Halloween Hustle is complete with a 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile plus the ability to run all 3 and earn a bonus Challenge Medal.  Participants will run through the city of haunts and will finish along the beautiful and festive Riverwalk. Come for the RUN but stay for the FUN and food! They will be serving up Carolina BBQ, mac & cheese, and toasted bread at the finish line along with a fully stocked beer garden.

 

Monstrous Fun Halloween Movie at The Park!

  • Where: Valor Park, 1120 Farrow Parkway, Myrtle Beach
  • Date: Friday, October 25, 2024
  • When: 7 p.m.

Enjoy a FREE movie under the stars at Valor Park on a large outdoor screen in The Market Common! This PG-rated monstrous, comical family-friendly film being shown is called Monster House. Come early and dine at one of the variety of restaurants to choose from.  Bring your beach chair or blankets for a great family night or date night.

 

Children’s Imagination Walk!

  • Where: Brookgreen Gardens
  • Date: Saturday, October 26, 2024
  • When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Let your imagination run wild through the gardens! Wear your favorite costume and explore a day filled with exciting activities, creative crafts, and treats galore! Halloween Helicopter Treat Drop On The Farm!

  • Where: Thompson Farm And Nursery, in Conway
  • Date: Saturday, October 26 – 27, 2024
  • When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Watch over 10,000 festive “Pumpkin Seeds” filled with Halloween candy and goodies get dropped out of a helicopter around 4 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your trick-or-treat bags as you get up to your EARS in Halloween fun and treats on the farm.

 

Halloween Glow Dance Party

Grab the entire family for an extravaganza of Halloween Boo-nanza fun! This exciting event has an array of activities for all ages, including magic shows, marshmallow roasting, inflatables, trick-or-treating, and much more. Scare Free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that are sure to satisfy all. Cash Only. Ages 3 and up are $5 each while ages 2 and under are free.

Hometown Halloween!

The Market Common’s Hometown Halloween is back! Children’s trick or treating will take place at center shops with an orange balloon followed by a dance party in front of Grand 14 Movie Theater. Watch as the streets come alive with witches, superheroes, ghosts, and sweet treats galore! This is a fun and safe Halloween treat for the community.

 

Halloween On The MarshWalk!

  • Where: The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
  • Date: Thursday, October 31, 2024
  • When: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls of all ages will fill the Marsh at this year’s longest-running and most successful event. It brings fun and prizes to the whole family! The kids’ trick-or-treating begins at 5 p.m. and the children’s costume contest begins at 6 p.m. in front of Drunken Jack’s at the Pirate Statue. Prizes will be awarded for the Most Creative, Best Group, Funniest, and Scariest for kids ages three and up. Kids age two and under will compete for the Awes Applause award. The Adult Costume Contest will begin at 7 p.m. A total of over $4000 in cash and prizes will be awarded.
